we were there 1 night at the appartment(120 euros),..with 4 and 1 year children. We saw several FLEAS!!!!!!!!!! in the bed(i am a vet, i know), so we asked for a new room. They did it, (it was 1 in the morning, our kids were sleeping!!!, so we didnt do that for "pleasure")...the morning following, the girl who was the... more

Poor accommodation, poor service, poor food and there's nothing to do in the daytime or at night. The pool area was poor and guests complained about it on a daily basis. On-site sales people pester guests throughout their holiday trying to squeeze money out of them by getting them to sign up to so called "time-share" rentals. Guests are told... more

Just returned from 5 nights at Hotel Porto Azzurro, which I'd class as a 3* +. Quiet area with a reasonable choice of restaurants within easy walking distance. Bars overlooking Lake Garda 20 mins walk. The historic town of Sirmione was about 45 mins walk, or a very short bus ride. But no busses back late at night. Lovely swimming... more

We were planning to stay for 3 nights at this hotel, but unfortunately our plans were runed by the manager of this hotel... During our staying at this hotel the air conditioning was off, we asked for two days to turn on because of hot weather and there was not possibile to open the door to the balcony because of... more

Reviewer- Golders, Lichfield , England Stayed here the last week of July 2007. Found hotel staff to be helpful and whilst their english was not good it was adequate and much better than our Italian. Room was excellent with good air conditioning ( and spotlessly clean ) and overlooked the pool area. The restaurant food was varied . We found... more

Stayed here as a base to explore the southern end of Lake Garda. The hotel was clean and pleasant, with its own pool (which was rather cold - but welcome on a very hot day!). The staff were friendly and our room, although rather basic, was clean and had a balcony overlooking the pool and Lake Garda in the distance.... more

Stayed at this hotel with my family, found it to be clean and staff helpful, although the staff had as much English as we had Italian but we muddled through between us. Quiet location nice pool and a good breakfast. more

This is possibly the worst hotel in Italy. We travelled around all of Italy in September, unfortunately we had booked this dump of a hotel. I can NOT put into words how bad this hotel is but I will try my best. Dirty stained sheets, cigarette burns on the carpet, mattress, ensuite toilet seat, shower tray and the sink work... more

Just came back from a trip in mid Nov and stayed at Hotel Porto Azzuro, Sirmione. Decent hotel with reasonably large rooms with showers and breakfast, only 60 euros for a double rm. Convenient by bus from the desenzano train station but be careful on the schedules especially if arriving on sundays or holidays as bus is infrequent, otherwise no... more
