Strictly speaking, this hotel is located in the "hamlet" of Carciano, just out of Stresa. It is a genuine 20 minute very pleasant stroll along the paved "promenade" into Stresa centre, but having it's own ferry landing stage - obviously, not all ferries stop here, but the ones to the "Borromean Islands" certainly do. the hotel is nicely renovated and was comfortable BUT it was not quiet - they advertise "quiet and tranquil" , but there is a night club nearby ,and the night we were there they had a party at this club with Karaoke music until 3 am !! more

For a Three Star Hotel we were pleasantly surprised with the helpful and friendly staff (Family Run) and excellent evening meal (four course) home cooked.
