Not much from the outside, but that's like all hotels in Europe. It was within walking distance from the train station and the main downtown area. Our room was on the 4th floor, more spacious due to the cathedral ceiling. Full size bathroom, definitely a plus! Nice view of the lake from the walk-out balcony. more

Budget hotel located about 100 metres from the train station (closest hotel to rail). Small room with comfortable bed. No amenities like hairdryer or coffee machine. Old 10" television mouted high up on wall didn't work. No air conditioning. Decent but not great "free" breakfast. Staff spoke only a little English. Towels were about 2mm thick. more

Hotel Boston is a clean little hotel about one block from the lake. The rooms are adequately sized and comfortable. We were on the top floor and had a small walk-out which afforded a view of the lake and the lake-front hotels. Breakfast was a standard Italian hotel spread. more

Stresa is somewhere that I had never heard of before our trip but I would recommend it to everyone as it is one of the most beautiful and relaxing places in Italy. This hotel is great location within walking distance of everything in Stresa. The only fault we had was the elevator. 2 people and a bag are about it. Very clean, balconys on the 4th floor are small but nice views of the lake (partial) They also recomended the "Cafe Torino" in the square of Stresa. We loved the food there... more

Just returned from 4 weeks in Italy (so we saw LOTS of Italian lodgings). This hotel was OK, but for the price (100 Euros), we had much nicer rooms. Pros: room was clean, staff was very friendly and helpful, conveniently near the train station, and there was a bit of a view of the lake as seen between other hotels.... more
