A lovely, well-presented 2 bed-apartment with a common living room and private bathroom to each room. Each room is rented separately but would make a great option to rent out both rooms together for 2 couples or larger group. I guess the only downside of the setup would be if the other guests are noisy. Martin, the owner, is extremely friendly and helpful and goes out of his way to make you feel welcome - breakfast is served to your schedule! Location is excellent - close to the Metro station and a main shopping street but also only a short walk into the historic centre/cathedral and the central rail station. Would definitely recommend.

It is a real pleasure to recommend Milano Bella to all my friends, and all of you. The best aspect of this B&B is the owners: Martin & Sara. They are the best! I came with my wife and two small children, and Martin was very nice from the start. He took great care to show us the apartment, gave us advice to enjoy Milan and pointed us to the nearest restaurants and supermarkets. The room was large for Milan standards, but small compared to other places in the world (this is very typical of Europe, especially in the cities). Everything was clean and modern. The bathroom was gorgeous, the kind I'd like to have in my house. There was no noise, neither from outside nor from the adjacent room. The kitchenette is small, but it has a refrigerator and a microwave oven, which is good if you're on a budget. Besides, there is a small super-market across the street. The dining room is very nice and cozy, and the breakfast was delicious (the standard Italian breakfast; do not expect a massive breakfast like in the US or some Asian countries). Martin went to great lengths to make our stay comfortable. We had breakfast at 7am and he was more than happy to get up early and get us fresh bread from the bakery next door. Martin also brought some children's books for the kids. Regarding location, it is relatively central. We could've found something right at the centre, but the options were either to pay twice the price or go to a place with horrible reviews. This B&B is not right at a touristy place, which makes it very affordable. However, if you're willing to walk 5 minutes or less, you'll be near all the right places. At night there are a lot of people shopping at the nearby Buenos Aires boulevard. The pedestrian street is well-illuminated and safe at night (there is an empty building undergoing reconstruction across the street, which gave a bad impression at first, but we felt perfectly safe coming back late in the night). For us, it was a block away from Montanelli park, which has lots of games, the natural history museum, the planetarium, a pond and a cute little train for kids. Martin suggested that we go there and the kids had a great time. A couple of blocks farther, you can find via della Spiga, with all the fancy shops; and the Duomo is probably about 10 min walk from the hotel. There is also a subway stop right next to the B&B which takes you to the center. In the end, we never needed to take the subway. From the train station you can take the tram, which conveniently takes you right to the B&B (no need to change lines or walk). Our communication with Martin was primarily in Spanish (he and his wife are perfectly fluent), but I decided to write this review in English so more people can read it. Martin is a very interesting guy, with plenty of stories to tell. In the evening, he invited us to dinner (they live on the floor downstairs) and we got a first-hand typical Milan dinner experience. Good conversation, good wine and our kids spent the evening playing with their son, who later gave them a book and a toy as presents. My kids did not want to leave and tell me that it was the best vacation adventure ever! Not only did we find a nice place to stay, but hopefully new friends. In a nutshell, Milano Bella was a wonderful experience, and we'll definitely come back someday! Milano Bella does not have many reviews because it's a relatively new B&B trying to get its groove. I encourage you to look no further and give Milano Bella a shot. These are the kind of people who deserve our business and I hope we can help their B&B become more established.

Martin was such a fantastic host - I was frantic when trying to book Last Supper tickets online and could only secure one ticket for my first anniversary trip to Italy with my husband. I emailed Martin about my dilemma after reserving one of the rooms at his apartment and he was able to easily reserve two English tour tickets for us. He also helped us carry our luggage up to the room from our car upon arrival, and called Hertz to try and extend our car rental as well. He told us about the history of the building, giving us an even greater appreciation for our accommodations. Staying in his apartment was such a fun way to experience Milan and the location was superb and easy to find. Thanks again to Martin for such a great stay.

Dear administration, please deal with the situation. I booked a hotel on the Bucking site. From January 4 to January 5, 2020 we had to drive to your hotel. Money was withdrawn from my account. When I arrived (it was Sunday) there was nobody at the reception. There was no instruction about entry and keys! The administration was not in place. No one answered calls or messages! As a result, another hotel was quickly booked. Please return the money!

I had a confirm booking for this b&b over 3 months ago to stay in mid June. I was advised 10 days before my arrival that they had overbooked the accommodation and I had been shunted off to a one star hotel near by. No apology was offered from this b&b and the short time to seek a good alternative is impossible forcing us to accept a unsatisfactory outcome. I am sure it does not take 3 months to work out over bookings. They must have had a better offer but this is no excuse. Be warmed.

Very friendly host, we are really sorry about what happened! We sent an personal email of apology, but perhaps has not arrived. Our Booking system has wrong in anything, and we realized too late. We apologize, but we are not computers (we are human) and we know, we realized too late. You has booked through booking.com, and through this site, we asked for help, for a procedure that is planned. We had to make a choice based on who had booked before, and not on price. All our guests pay the same! We are sincerly waiting for you to ask you excuse yourself, giving you a coffee or tea, here in our B&B when you arrive in Milan. Tutti in nostri ospiti pagano uguale. Vi aspettiamo per chiedervi scusa personalmente, offrendovi un caffè o un the, qui da noi.

We found this BnB thanks to TripAdvisor and it was wonderful. The BnB is situated in an interesting house (and Martin will tell you about its history), the rooms are lovely, the breakfast tasty and varied and the BnB is decorated and furnished with love and attention (many great books, nice pictures etc.).

Martin was the most wonderful host: attentive and yet discreet, charming and helpful. We were made to feel at home!

It was also no problem to leave our luggage there on our last day and only pick it up shortly before having to take the train.

Grazie mille Martin!!! xxx

This is a brilliant place to stay, Martin the owner is really welcoming and very helpful. There is a communal living room which overlooks the street, ideal for chilling out when you've had a busy day sightseeing and Martin provides complimentary tea and coffee. The rooms are cleaned to a very high standard, with a very reasonable mini bar. Breakfast is beautiful, fresh pastries, fruit, yoghurt, cereals and Martin will accommodate your needs, my son is lactose intolerant so he provided soya milk and yoghurts. We got a taxi from the train station, 8 euros and it's easy to find. Brilliant location for exploring the city, with lots of places of interest within walking distance and several very good restaurants nearby. I stayed here with my Aunt last year absolutely loved it and sent my son and his girlfriend to stay in February.

We were very happy in Milan and with our stay at B&B Milano Bella and our host Martin. The B&B consists of two large rooms with ensuites and is immaculately clean. The rooms are totally private with our room over looking a courtyard. We stayed in the blue room which has a little terrace overlooking the internal courtyard and 'The Buttery' which used to process milk into butter in the old days. The room was very comfortable and it is very close to the Metro although we just walked everywhere. There is very fast wifi. The Milano Bella is 20 minutes walk from the Duomo and the centre of Milan so convenient, a two minute walk to great shopping and a supermarket opposite. The breakfasts which Martin provided for us were great, fabulous warm croissants, fresh breadrolls, yoghurt, fruit, coffee and juices. There is a shared breakfast room and seating area to use as well. We would highly recommend this accommodation.

Milano Bella was not only the most comfortable of the places I stayed in during a 2 1/2 week visit to Italy, it was also the best value. My top priorities are a quiet room, a good bed, a convenient location, and a friendly innkeeper, and I would rate this B & B as excellent in all those respects; it was also one of the least expensive places I encountered during my stay. Martin could not have been friendlier or more helpful. When he learned that I was interested in seeing the Brera painting museum, he pulled out a large art book with reproductions of the museum's collections; he also gave me good advice about places to eat near the B & B, and persuaded me that it would be easy and much cheaper to take a taxi (which he called for me) to the bus depot and then the bus to the airport instead of taking a taxi, which was indeed very simple and saved me a lot of money. The room I stayed in was lovely, and the breakfasts in the shared living/eating room (the B & B has only two bedrooms) delicious. Should I ever return to Milan, I'll book a room at this place in a heartbeat.
