The Lido was a quick metro ride (1 euro or a day pass for 3 euros) away from Milan's main attractions on the red line (Castle and Duomo are also on the red line). Milan's hotels are not 'budget friendly', but this hotel offered & delivered value for money. I stayed at the 'Lido' in early March 2007.
