We found this hotel to be the most odd lodging of our trip. It is definitely in the "bed and breakfast" league. Upon entering the hotel, my first impression was that we'd entered a funeral home...a sickening sweet smell permeated the air (the result of many scented oil candles burning). Upon entering our room, I had to immediately open the... more

After reading the reviews on this website, I decided to book this hotel for our stay in Milan. We were so pleased with this hotel. Loved the little courtyard, the welcoming staff who all spoke English, the simple room, and nice bathroom, we enjoyed breakfast the next morning. It was so close to the Last Supper that we didn't worry... more

The Antica Locanda Leonardo is one of my favorite hotels. Not knowing Milan very well, I found it recommended in a guidebook, and thinking it looked nice, decided to take a chance and try it. I was not disappointed on any level; rather, I had an utterly lovely stay. Its diminutive size lends it a cozy charm bigger hotels simply... more

We liked this hotel very much. The particular room (#13) was pretty staid but there was a garden outside (with no smokers during our four night stay.) It was very quiet where we were. The location is great--a short walk to train & metro and the Duomo area. If you can't get tickets to see The Last Supper, don't fret.... more

We booked this place for the first night of our honeymoon, thinking from the photos on the website that it was a cosy if not romantic place; I fell for the self-advertised "Boutique hotel" in the web tag-line....argh - couldn't have been further from the truth! It was a cheaply done out sub-Travelodge type place, and extortionately expensive for the... more

We were a bit unlucky and got a quite horrible ground floor room first. As we arrived in the early afternoon, we hoped to be able to change it easily. This was a big problem, and we managed to get a room on the first floor only after having got very loud. The next morning we found out that the... more

I picked this hotel on the recommendation of a colleague who had stayed there, and because it was close to the Palazzo Stelline (2 mins walk) where I was attending an exhibition. The entrance is through a courtyard, and I had a room at the back of the building, meaning it was very quiet despite being on a fairly main... more

We spent in Milan 4 days and we stayed in this little charming hotel. When we arrived at the hotel we weren't satisfied for our choise: the hotel is located inside a private housing estate. The entrace of the building was gloomy and dark. This was our first impression, which was wrong. The hotel was charming and overlooked a fantastic... more

My wife found this hotel in one of the travel books and I confirmed the quality on Trip Advisor. Several other reviewers also gave it high marks, and we want to add ours to that list. Easy location from either the metro or tram (the tram stops right in front of the hotel). Located next door to the church with... more

It took us ages to find a hotel that was (more or less) in budget in Milan but which wouldn't be too far away from the city centre. We found this hotel in a guide book and then went on to their website to find out more. It was quite hard to get them to respond to emails sent via... more
