Every fabulous thing that I read about the Silvernagl and the proprietess, Petra, prior to our trip was true. The accomodations were clean, spatious, and comfortable with plenty of storeage and a balcony. The indoor pool was a bonus after a long day of hiking in the Dolomites. Petra could not have been more congenial and accomodating. She planned the... more
With the declining US dollar, we planned a more cost-conscious trip this year, and I had my concerns about property quality (not just here, but for our whole trip). Well, with Garni Silbernagl, my concerns were completely unfounded. The accommodation was spacious, spotlessly clean, extremely comfortable, and full of local character (not at all pre-fab or run-of-the-mill). The bed was... more
Garni Silbernagl is wonderful. We booked for 2 nights and added a night. Petra the host is delightful and enjoys sharing her inn and hometown with visitors. Our room was spacious and had a nice balcony. The town is delightful and lots of hiking right from town. Did not find that many English speaking people in town so be ready... more
What a fabulous place to stay! Petra has a beautiful place and she is a wonderful hostess. We only stayed one night at the end of our Italian holiday - our next trip will include more time in this area and several nights at Haus Silbernagl. Petra gave us really good advice on some short hikes to take. We were... more
We'd read about this property and town in Rick Steves' Italy 2007 guidebook. Petra, the hostess, was very gracious and accomodating. It was a cloudy, rainy drive there, and we got lost a bit, but finally found it and our older sons really appreciated the chance to finally get out of the car and enjoy a relaxing swim in their... more
Our family of 4 stayed here for 3 Winter nights shortly after the new year. We booked a very spacious suite with 2 big bedrooms and 2 full baths. Our room had a wrap around balcony with a lovely view of the town/bell tower. The house itself is easy to find near the center of town. It is conveniently located... more
Friendly Petra makes the stay here wonderful. She's very helpful with hikes/ lifts etc. She also puts on a great breakfast with eggs anyway you like. Our room was clean with a balcony. The pool is great after a long day of hiking. All of this for less that the major hotels just a few blocks away. more
Myself, wife, sister and her husband stayed at the Silbernagl in May of this year and it was absolutely FIRST CLASS! The price per double room was a very reasonable 34.50Euro per night and this included a cooked breakfast (omelette with other cured meats, toast, cheese, fruit juice etc). Facilities at this B&B included rooms with balcony views (upstairs) of... more
