We booked directly via email with this hotel approx 6 months prior to our trip planned for March. We had reserved a double, twin and one single. A week before we were due to go we emailed the hotel to re-confirm our booking - we heard nothing from them. We decided to call them and were told they were unable... more

My family and I have just returned from a fabulous week's skiing in Courmayeur. I would definately recommend the Hotel Walser to anyone looking for a warm ,friendly, family run hotel. The rooms were very comfortable and spotlessly clean although I felt our room for three could have done with being a bit bigger. The food was very good and plenty... more

Nine of us returned from a skiing trip a few days ago. We stayed at the Walser which was booked through the travel agent. What a great choice of hotel. The hotel is relatively small and is family run. Maurisimo is the owner and both he and the rest of the staff were absolutely excellent...very friendly, extremelly helpful and totally... more

This is a great hotel, owners and staff were very friendly, rooms very clean and plenty of food! The hotel is positioned in a good spot close to the center of the village, bus terminus (if you decide to go to Pila or Chamonix for the day) and easy walk to the lifts. You can leave your skiis and boots... more

Having read the other reviews here I was a little aprehensive. What a wonderful surprise. Everything about the hotel exceeded our expectations. Nothing was to much trouble. The management were very friendly accomodating and helpful, the Staff also were very friendly and very very helpful. Apart from no supply tea making facilities, the rooms were very clean, tidy, comfortable and... more

After being literally "chucked out" of the Hotel Svizzero, Courmayeur due to a booking error, mum and I ended up at the Hotel Walser for 6 nights and it turned out to be the best thing that could've happened to us. We were welcomed with open arms and given a lovely room, basic but very clean. All the staff were... more

Have just returned from a 3 night stay at Hotel Walser. Having read the reviews after we booked, I wasn't expecting too much. True, the hotel is near a main road and so might be a bit noisy if you were in a room overlooking it, but we didn't hear any traffic noise oursleves. It was a bit of a... more

Judging by the experiences of friends who stayed at the squirrel hotel in Courmayeur, there's a lot to be said for the friendly staff at this hotel. OK so the food is no more than "school dinner" in it's quality so you'll want to eat out and breakfast is definately a croissant and coffee affair, but then this is Italy... more

Stayed for a week. About 10 mins from cable car, not 3 mins as the other review said. Food was not good (and I'd eat anything). Got sick of the poor / strange food and ended up eating out. The breakfast was also meagre. Bread, cheese and cereal, not very fresh either, and not really good for setting you up... more

A must stay...great location and REALLY friendly hosts. The food is authentic Italian and it is to die for. The rooms are very clean and have an excellent bathroom. The hotel is situated about 3 minutes from the cable car that takes you to the slopes......GREAT place! more
