Only one block from Padua station, but still in a quiet location. Very easy access to the beautiful city of Padua, and within easy reach of Venice - note that Regionale trains cost a quarter of the Inter city Eurostars, and only take a few more minutes if you are careful. Trenitalia.net is your friend here! Interior immaculate, and beautifully... more

Indeed, the area mightn't look the best, but it is very handy to the railway station. However, as others have indicated, once you're inside the door all else fades away. This is, without doubt, one of the finest (if not the finest) B&B I have ever stayed in and Lorenzo is almost overwhelming in his efforts to help you. The... more

This is a superb B&B. Don't let the somehat questionable surroundings of the station put you off. Gioia is quiet and immaculate - large and spotless rooms and the nicest bath I have ever found in a B&B. Lorenzo was a superb host. We had interesting discussions in a mixture of English, French and Italian. Lorenzo offered to make a... more

We were there on September 19 and 20. Lorenzo is really professionnal as a host, you could not find a better host. And the situation is prefect: 2 minute walking to the train going to Venice. You save a lot on a parking closer to Venice and you can relax at night, it's very quiet. No wonder this place is... more

Gioia is by far the best B&B we have stayed with in Italy. The place is spotless, with state of the art appliances and furniture, not to mention the hydro massaging shower which alone is worth the money. The breakfast is more than plentiful, and the location is right by the train station, so you can easily make a run... more

Lorenzo is a wonderful host, who really enjoys the company of his guests. The outside of the buliding is uninpressive, but the interior is luxurious - contemporary Italian good taste. And the bathrooms not just facilities, but are pleasure place to unwind. The location is excellent for train and local tram, and Padova is a very interesting city. The chapel... more

Lorenzo absolutely wonderful host, minimal English but able to understand each other. Beautiful accom, value for money. Nearby to railway station, Venice only a short distance away. Bed and room gorgeous. Lorenzo had current weather forecast printed out for us each morning. Great interaction with other guests at breakfast, all of us coming from a different country. more

Stayed at Gioia two nights. House is beautiful. Large comfortable & quiet room. King sized bed & large bathroom w/ jacuzzi tub. Broadband available in the room a plus; was able to use Skype WIFI phone. Host was gracious and made guests feel comfortable. B&B is a short walk from train station; I didn't need to use a taxi while... more

Exceedingly convenient to the railway station and with the wonderful tram system -it could not be better. Lorenzo is a fantastic host- nothing is too much trouble incl the use of the internet, The rooms are very comfortable and well appointed, the bathroom shower a veritable luxurious room by itself. Breakfast was friendly but there could have had more choice! more
