We travelled to Treviso for a wedding. We stayed in Treviso for the first 3 nights as our friends were getting married in Treviso town hall the day before their church wedding at Castelbrando. We thought Treviso was marvellous and we would go there again! After 3 days of sightseeing and lots of walking round Venice we travelled by coach... more

Well although it is a real castle...there are also real conventions that close the places at the hotel to dine, unless of course you want to spend a fortune on room service. Also isfyou love really loud medieval music to accompany your dreams while sleeping in a rock hard matteress this is the place (music for the big spenders like... more

I booked on not knowing really where I was going or how the rooms would be like .I just wanted to stay in a real castle. Boy oh boy did I get a grand treatment for a value of a price! First the town was just a quant ,picture perfect small village set in the valley between some high pre-alps... more

We have just come back from our Honeymoon at CastelBrando and we had a fantastic time. We hired a car and drove to the hotel which was straight forward with the directions the hotel gave us. The hotel is very impressive and beautifully kept both inside and out. Our room was really nice with the most amazing view right across... more

We stayed at the hotel Castle Brando recently while in Italy. The hotel is located about 50 miles from Venice (it is a nice train ride to the property). The castle is 2000 years old with lots of history and the rooms, public areas and grounds are superb. It is located in a quaint little Italian village, Cison di Valminaro.... more

The welcome was good, but the experience overall was disappointing. Our room was small and dim, there was no view. Air conditioning system was intrusive. It was possible to open the window (obscured glass set at about 10 feet from floor level and operated only electronically) about 4 inches. A most depressing experience - comparable to a stay an unlit,... more

I went to the Veneto, outsode if Venice, during the carnival in mid february and frankly was amazed. gone were the high prices, gone the crowds, gone the unpleasant posturing. Instead I found true hospitality, true beauty and the simple things done well. I stayed at the Hotel Castelbrando, which I booked through a Tour Operator called Carefree Italy. it... more
