We had been fortunate to have a trip with our 3 grown up kids (age 25, 23 and 17) in Italy. We were on a moderate budget and finding reasonable accommodations during the summer season was quite challenging. We have been warned about the difficulty to find decent places at a reasonable price in the Venice area. We got recommendations from an Israeli site on Mr. Vani's place in Spinea. We booked there 3 nights, and eventually this was the best accommodations we had during our 3 weeks in Italy. Mr. Vani, the owner of this place, was one of the most pleasant and hospitable Italian we met through our visit. By himself he is a very interesting person to talk with. His tips on visiting Venice were very valuable. The breakfast he himself was preparing had been the best we experienced through out our visit. The rooms are clean and functionally decorated, and are with a good Air Condition. The price was very reasonable.
