Just returned from 3 nights at the Palace Bonvecchiati in Venice and it was a fantastic choice of hotel. Upon arrival we were upgraded from a deluxe room to a junior suite, which was spacious and elegant without being over the top.

Staff at reception were helpful and breakfast was good with plenty of choice. As others have said who have reviewed this hotel, rooms would benefit from tea and coffee making facilities.

If I went back to Venice I would be tempted to stay somewhere more old fashioned with a canal view. I confess to being a fan of bright curtains and patterned carpets but my mum booked this place and she certainly isnt!

Having said that, its difficult to imagine a more perfect location in Venice than this. 5 mins walk to San Marco sq in one direction and 5 mins walk to Rialto bridge in the other. Ths place provides convenience and luxury; a great choice all in all. more
