Stayed as a couple for three nights start of May. Rooms basic but comfortable. Bathrooms private but they are not ensuite. Vey clean. Breakfast simple but ample. Easy to find and get to; two minute walk from Arsenale ferry stop. Nicola will make you feel welcome and is keen to assist you with advice. Would happily stay again.

We were only in Venice for one night, but we made the most of it and it helped having a great place to stay! This B&B was the perfect location because you could easily walk to the busy areas like San Marco square, but you could also wonder to the more residential areas (Costello). We had a great breakfast in... More

My wife and stayed here in February and had a pleasant stay but not an amazing stay. The B and B is in an excellent location and has a wonderful view over the lagoon. In a few minutes you are in the heart of the action and the major tourist sites. The bedrooms are large and comfortable. Nicola is an... More

My friend and I visited Venice in Feb 2013 for the Venetian Carnival which she wanted to see. The weather was beyond perfect as it was raining in London and we knew the weather in Venice wasn't going to be brilliant either - we checked the weather most days before leaving London! A week or so before our trip -... More

We loved the location and found our triple room was clean and spacious. There is a lovely lounge area where breakfast is served and a balcony with picture perfect views. Nicola looked after us well and was very helpful -even trying to load us up with breakfast as we rushed to catch a ferry for our train. One of the highlights... More

A lovely location, bang on the Venice lagoon, yet tucked away from the crowds! Spectacular views of the islands of Giorgio maggiore and Lido to the South and the Sata Maria della Sallute and the beginning of the grand canal and San Marco to the North. The restaurant had an old world charm and throughg the common areas you can... More

In Venice, the best place to stay is the lagoon area with a view of either one of the churches, islands or landmarks. This place had all three! The beautiful Isola di san Giorgio maggiore right opposite and the San Marco bell tower and the lovely Sallute church further up on the grand canal! Very convenient vaporetto stop close by.... More

We were greeted by the the very warm, charming and friendly Nicola. He immediately implored us to treat his B&B as our own, and make ourselves at home. What a beautiful view off the little deck overlooking the water - watching the yachts pull in and people taking pictures of us on the deck! We loved the location....close to everything....but... If you're on a budget, there can be very few better places to stay in Venice. We have just returned from our second visit to Al Tramonto Dorato, (and this magical city,) within a year. We were so taken with the location and so well looked after by Nicola and his family team last September that we could not wait... More

We stayed at Al Tramonto Dorato in January 2010. The owner, Nicola, was very friendly. He spoke several languages, including English. We found this a great location for the Biennale park and the proximity to San Marco. The only downside was sharing a bathroom, but we knew this would happen and it was a large room for the price.
