Great service, very clean, good location. However pillows were thin and hard. Bed also was very hard. LOTS of stairs and no elevator. Except for breakfast no food service available. Light fixtures were beautiful but not enough light to read by. Windows faced wall less less than 2 meters away so no natural light either. more

We stayed there as a family of 4 (two children 6 & 7) in May 2009. We got a nice deal via Expedia and then we were generously given a room facing Grand Canal without extra charge. I wanted to visit Venice after seeing Francesco's Venice with Francesco da Mosto on the BBC back home and came across this hotel while searching the internet. It's true, the hotel is very hard to find (my tip is to stay left as much as possible once you leave the St. Stae Vaporetto stop), but what a location!! A challenge to find, but worth it. Very helpful staff and good (a little small perhaps) well appointed room. Bath is a sit down tub, but clean and warm bathroom. Breakfast a bit of a tight squeese when busy. Food pretty good though fruit juice seemed somewhat diluted. Good restarurants nearby and not far to Rialto bridge and San Marco. more
