My wife and I spent four days at this lovely hotel. The restaurant staff were very friendly. The room was very clean and all public rooms also, beds turned down in evening and clean towels twice daily. On the down side just be aware the bicycle hire from the hotel[ancient] 10 euros each per day. Check days charged for??????? No... more

We stayed at the Quattro Fontane for our honeymoon in October and we were very impressed. The hotel has phenomenal artwork collected over many decades by the owners and the rooms are rich in character. The hotel owners are, apparently, two elderly ladies who inherited the hotel from their parents and still live on site. Lido is a lovely beach... more

overall a satisfactory stay, but i do think that it is a relative thing while staying in venice. it is extremely expensive for an american compared to other cities i have been to, including prague immediately after my stay in venice. while it was far from what i might ordinarily expect for ~$300/night hotel (and i'm from new york city),... more

It was a pleasure to stay on the Lido. Venice is really crowded during the day. The boat takes about 10-15 minutes and you are at St. Mark's. Its also easy to go to the other islands. And there is lots to see and do on the Lido. The hotel is like an old country inn, surrounded by lots of... more

We have just arrived back from Venice (sigh). We stayed for four nights at the Quattro Fontane celebrating my partners 30th birthday. It was the perfect setting, traditional and a stones throw from Pizza San Marco (St Mark's Square) by water bus. I can honestly say the Quattro Fontane was one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in.... more

On first arriving, I was rather concerned that I'd maybe made a mistake in booking the Quattro Fontane. We were shown to a room in the old part of the hotel that had two very rickety single beds and a wardrobe that you had to sidle round the television to get in to. My husband went to reception and mentioned... more

Venice is a fantastic city, however, staying there in a hotel can be a nasty and noisy affair. A good alternative is choosing a hotel on the Lido. We stayed at Albergo Quattro Fontane for a week and simply enjoyed. Quattro Fontane is a stylish country house surrounded by lush gardens. The only sound we heard at night was the... more

This hotel is perfect-- in a quiet residential area on the Lido, a block from the Adriatic Sea. It is an easy 10 min. walk to the Vaporetto stop to Venice and other islands. Beautifully decorated rooms, common rooms filled with antiques and flowers, excellent breakfast. Worth every penny. more

I was totally charmed by the location, the hotel and the fabulous staff. The hotel is set in delightful gardens and a stones throw from the beach. The accomodation was really very good indeed and they offered us a complimentary upgrade to suit our party of fives needs. The rooms were beautifully and uniquely furnished and very comfortable. Our rooms... more
