The hotel is right on the canal, so you get a nice view in the morning. The staff is quite gental and helpful. The place is basic, and the rooms too, but it's perfectly fine for those you really want to visit Venice and not stay in the hotel room. more

I didn't think the hotel looked dated, and I especially didn't think the murano chanderliers were tacky at all.
