We went to this hotel for 3 days and were very pleased. The location is perfect, 5 minutes to San Marco, Theatro La Fenice (tip: get tickets in advance, it's really worth it) and just a few steps from the vaporetto exit so you don't have to roll your luggages a long way like many other hotels. The staff is... more

The location was great. It was just a short walk to Piazza San Marco and major other attractions! The rooms were very clean and quite spacious for European standards. The bathroom was impeccable, which is a must for me. I never knew staff could be so helpful. All hotels in every country should base their customer service off this hotel.... more

Easy access. Bus from airport to Piazzale Roma or train to station. Or, walk up to Piazzale Roma from cruise ship. Then, inexpensive vaparetto, with easy roll-on of luggage, to Giglio stop, just after Ponte Accademia. Fifty meters straight to campo; hotel is on right. Reasonably priced. Good and friendly service and help for enterainment reservations, as well as a... more

We spent four days in Venice and we booked this hotel through their website. When we arrived we were welcomed by very friendly staff who immediately helped us with a series of requests: we needed a good restaurant, and we needed to contact the airline because of a lost Blackberry. All was dealt with very efficiently. The hotel is very... more

This Palazzo was formerly long-stay apartments for the Gritti Palace Hotel but has been renovated and is completely separate from the Gritti. I chose it for its location and the price which was very reasonable during the holidays last year. The breakfast was uninspiring, but most of the time Italian breakfasts are, and the Venetians are definitely not known for... more

Hotel is very central. Two minutes from St Mark's Square. We walk everywhere and did not need to use transport. Hotel was good, clean and pleasant. However, breakfast was not very good. We had to suplement breakfast with our food supplies bought in a supermarket nearby. Hotels in Venice are expensive, and overall this one was good value. more

Overall we loved the hotel. We stayed in a Junior Suite, Room 101. The location is great, with only a 2 minute (4 "blocks") walk from St. Marks square. The hotel can be reached even quicker than from St. Marks by using Vaporetto Line 1 to the Santa Maria del Giglio station walking 50 yds. down the alley and looking... more

We were a party of six traveling to Italy. Venice was our first stop. The Palazzo del Giglio is an excellent hotel. It is close distance to all major city sites. We had the top floor suite and a double room. Both rooms were very clean and had adequate amenities. The breakfast was amazing. The staff was friendly and courteous.... more

A relief to find a small luxury hotel in the heart of Venice that does not have the corporate feel of the large hotels in the centre of the city. I found the staff to be extremely courteous and able in arranging tickets to the various orchestral concerts in the chapels and cathedrals hidden away from general view. The hotel... more
