Although this hotel was built in 1904 (according to the floor mosaic) it seemed to have few draw backs. It is within 5 minutes of the Rialto Bridge and 15 minutes of St Marks. My husband and I enjoyed our stay at Centauro Hotel. The hotel had personality, well kept, and very clean. Breakfast was good! The only downfall was we had a very hard time finding the hotel when we arrived but after the first time we were able to locate the hotel easly. more

I recommend that you get a water cab and make sure that your driver knows precisely where to take you---you'll want a tiny little alley off of the Campo Manin. With its 5 minute walk to Saint Mark's Square and it's easy walk to the many art galleries and the Rialto area, you cannot go wrong with this central yet... more
