We stayed here for 3 nights and tried to avoid it as much as possible. Our first night we had no baby cot as was requested. I showed my receeipt to prove we requested one and they still continued to argue. Finalyl my husband went and talked to them and they managed to get us one...but it was broke so... more

As others have said before this is a great hotel if you're looking for a bargin in a good location. Do not stay here if you are expecting the latest mod cons - it's basic and is ideal for those rating comfort and good value above all else. It's in a great location. Very close to SL Train station which... more

Given that the train station is on the other side of the city from San Marco (the heart of the action) your hotel is either going to be near one or the other, so you need to make your choices. This hotel is near the station, which is great when you are dragging cases around, and it is also near... more

Definitely not a good choice to stay there in August as there is no air condition, just a fan... and Venice was really hot during that time. The room was average with an uninteresting view (stayed at a room with a window on the side of the hotel). The bathroom (equipped with shower) was quite big (almost as much as... more

If you're looking for luxury then this hotel is probably not for you. Although it offers basic amenities we found it comfortable and well positioned in Cannareggio. The hotel offers a good size bedroom and bathroom, small TV and an electric fan (which was faulty but worked by wedging a piece of cardboard in the on button). Breakfast is included... more

Staff were rude. Location was good, but it was noisy. Building is very old and therefore the doors on the bathroom dont shut properly as well as the windows and balcony door no longer shut to lock up either. We had a street room which was good by day, but noisy by night. In desperate need of a renovation or... more

The hotel doesn't look like much from the outside, but once inside, the building is quite grand and impressive. This is a bit misleading though because the room itself was a bit of a let-down. The bathroom was shabby and a bit dirty, metal was rusted and surfaces stained etc. The bedroom too was a bit grubby. The fabric bed... more

This hotel is just 5 minutes from Railway station and close to Giglio (2 minutes) and S. Marcuola (5 minutes). Thats the only good thing about it. Otherwise, in summer it is very hot (no air conditions or ceiling fans, just a small pedestal fan). Mosquitoes can be another big problem. You would prefer to do breakfast outside, because in... more

Stayed here in July 2009 for 5 nights . Was pleasantly surprised at the size of the room and bathroom.Room overlooked the busy street with its Fruit & Veg market but we liked the atmosphere , with plenty going on.Breakfast was basic but Ok. Location was great , with the "Guiglie" waterbus stop a few yards away, just a 10min... more

We stayed for nine days. It was very good choice. Location of the hotel itself is great, very easy to find. Rare thing in Venice. Yes, the main street is a little bit noisy, but its within limits. On the other hand to find some Osteria for dinner is matter of seconds. Hotel itself does not run restaurant, but next... more
