Hotels in Venice are expensive. If I'd paid this amount for this hotel anywhere else I'd have felt ripped off, but I suspect it was reasonable value for Venice. I stayed with the girlfriend here for about 3 nights/days in late September. Aqua alta hadn't started yet, the weather was phenomenal the whole time, and the staff and setting of this hotel just added to making Venice a gorgeous stay (should really have stayed another 2 nights... sigh).
