We stayed for 2 nights starting 12 November. Up until the moment we were accused of stealing (yoghurt...) the staff and hotel were fine - definitely not worth a 5/5 rating but great location and large rooms for a family with a 18mth old child. Now, to the stealing incident. Upon arriving back from a hectic day sightseeing, a staff... more

we had a lovely time at locanda casa martini. on the first day we were treated by a rude staff member that wanted to fine us 50 euros because we were an hour late for the water taxi that picked us up in the airport (even though we emailed them from the plane saying we'd be late because of the... more

This was my sixth trip to Venice, and my sixth stay at Casa Martini. Whilst I'll continue to visit Venice, I won't be returning to Casa Martini, or recommending it. Previously, the hotel has been superb; we have been greeted and well cared for by Luigi and Orietta, and nothing has been too much trouble. On our latest visit, our... more

We stayed at this charming hotel two years ago. Since then the ownership changed and much of the charm is gone. The rooms are still fine, although the small fridge was empty and filthy. They claimed they could not serve breakfast, sent us to a non existent place for breakfast, and then complained when we asked them to reimburse a... more

We found our stay at the Casa Martini a memorable experience. The service from Wladimir, the Manager, was exceptional. He is a very friendly interesting man who converses freely on any topic in many languages. We found him to be a gentleman and made us feel as if we were the only guests at the hotel at the time. We... more

Casa Martini is a charming small palace that impress since the first view. We spend two nights there and we are sure that we couldn´t have found a better place to stay. We found a place where we enjoyed each moment since the breakfast in the terraze till the chats with the friends that we found there. Greetings from Carmen... more

We were pleasantly surprised at the arrival to this old and interesting residential mansion that is gently renovated with great attention to original detail and atmosphere. The location is right at a lively main street, but rooms are very quite and breakfast served outdoors at a secluded terrace in the rear. However, it turned out that our pre-reserved room was... more

I have stayed in this hotel twice and the second time it still lived up to the first time I stayed. The staff are very friendly, pleasant and welcoming. The room was large and very clean. Beds were comfy - I certainly had no problem sleeping! The bathroom was small enough but that didn't bother us (why would you spend... more

Hotels in Venice are expensive. If I'd paid this amount for this hotel anywhere else I'd have felt ripped off, but I suspect it was reasonable value for Venice. We booked one of the more expensive rooms and it was basically fine. The decor felt ornate more than luxurious. The bathroom was nice and the terrace was a nice place... more

I stayed with the girlfriend here for about 3 nights/days in late September. Aqua alta hadn't started yet, the weather was phenomenal the whole time, and the staff and setting of this hotel just added to making Venice a gorgeous stay (should really have stayed another 2 nights... sigh). Only subtle complaint would be the breakfast... the croissants were phenomenal... more
