It's not in a beautiful location, situated on the railway tracks in a semi- commercial part of Mestre, but bus 32 runs right out the front of this yellow, strangely shaped hotel. This bus will drop you at Mestre train station where you catch bus 2 into Venice. Getting on this bus requires patience and the odd sharp elbow- Europeans... More

The staff were so friendly and helpful from even before I arrived, sending me bus and train time tables! They are clearly very passionate about Venice and knowledgeable ! Breakfast finished a bit early for us (9:30) only managed it the 1 day but was good, selection of pastries, meats, fruit, yogurt and cereal. Juice, tea and coffee. The only issue was it's a... More

We chose this hotel on price and location. It exceeded our expectations. The staff were really friendly and helpful and the rooms quiet, modern, comfortable and beautifully clean. With bus stops to Mestre station right outside the door, where another can whisk you on to Venice itself. All for under a 3 euro return trip, with tickets at reception. This... More

Hotel Alveri was all we could've asked for. Simple, modern, clean, good value, and great service. At any time of the day/night every staff member I encountered was very polite, friendly, and extremely helpful. They truly went out of their way to go the extra mile to make our stay great. The front desk staff are so genuine, it's very... More

Is much more economic comparing with hotels inside Venice and excelent if you are travelling by car. You can leave your car parked in the Hotel for free and take the train or bus to visit Venice. Bedrooms are clean and the breakfast provides the essencial. Surrondings are not nice but proved to be a quiet place to stay.

This hotel is well-situated for visiting Venice, right on a bus route (no buses on Sunday though), and fairly close to the railroad station (not walking distance for seniors). Cab ride back from Venice was $25 Euros. We picked this hotel because it is relatively new, and has an elevator. Family staff was very helpful. Good breakfast included. Good value.... More

Easy to find with michelin map instructions. New hotel with very comfortable rooms.Simple breakfast.Wifi only in public area but with problems. We chose it because of the bus line 32 which is righ outside and takes you to the main station, from were you take bus no 2 to venice. You come back taking bus no 31. Tickets cost 1.30... More

Hotel Alverì is located in an industrial area of Mestre, getting there by car was for us quite easy. The room was nice, new and clean. Just the bathroom was a bit small. We quite enjoyed the breakfast, just 9.30 am was for us a little early. Free parking, just the wifi wasn't working in our room. To get to... More

4 stars - I liked this hotel and would recommend it. The hotel was great, the staff were very nice, the rooms just about perfect. We had a fridge in the room which was good for our bottled water which I looked forward to every night. The owner (maybe?) or manager of the hotel was a friendly old guy who... More

We stayed for two nights, and we are completely satisfied. Simple, new, clean and has everything one could need. Breakfast is simple. The only negative thing, the wifi is only in reception area.
