The Ca’Formenta is a small, well equipped Hotel situated conveniently for exploring Venice on foot and by water. We bought 72 hour water bus tickets and reached the Hotel by the Alilaguna boat from Marco Polo Airport which stops only two bridges from the Hotel. The journey was easy and the 1 hour 5 minute trip was a lovely way... more

We stayed at Ca' Formenta on St. Mark's (and WW II Liberation) Day and the following day. Following the Venetian St. Mark's Day tradition, the front desk presented the ladies in my group a red rose when we checked in, which was a nice touch. The staff was friendly, helpful, and fun to talk with too. Everyone speaks English. They... more

My wife and I stayed here 22/04/08 - 25/04/08 TOP TIP We had the buffet breakfast which was standard continental fare and quite tasty However fill up because once you leave the hotel its costs an arm and a leg to eat or drink anything. I went knowing it would be dear but was not expecting it to be so... more

We are a retired, Canadian couple, and have done a lot of travelling over the years. We loved everything about this hotel - the staff were wonderful and most helpful, the breakfast was great, the rooms were lovely (both decor, convenience, and cleanliness!), the location was good - we wished we could have stayed for weeks! My only suggestion would... more

I feel fortunate to be able to visit Venice up to four times years on holiday. Having tried a few other hotels before finding Ca Formenta, I now use this hotel for its service, quiet location and beautiful setting from the front. I spotted Ca Formenta on my first trip to Venice on the Alilaguna boat from the Airport as... more

Ca' Formenta is a great little hotel, just 10 minutes away from St Marco's Sq (approx 6 bridges!). Small and personable, with really friendly and informed staff, all of whom speak excellent English. Room was a little small, but very clean with roof terrace. Continental breakfast was good quality and plentiful. Staff stored our bags all day from 9am until... more

In no way could I fault the hotel from the service point of view. My plane from the UK was very badly delayed and I arrived in Venice at midnight,on my first trip there, with no idea if the boat trip to Arsenale was still possible, and whether the hotel would still be open for me. Bit panicky, due to... more

We have just returned from a 3 night stay at this hotel. We also paid for one of the lagoon view rooms and it was worth it. Our room has a view across the promenade to this stretch of water. We could hear the chatter from the cafe below and the vaporettas passing but to us it added to the... more

We arrived in Venice for a 4 night stay after 3 nights in Rome. We were in room 106, which looked over the lagoon and was very spacious. The hotel were aware if was our anniversary and we were delighted and suprised to find a bottle of Italian wine in our room with compliments from the hotel, which we thought... more

Have just returned from four days in Venice staying at this small, but very comfortable hotel. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We stayed in room 403, situated on the side of the hotel, but with a great view across the lagoon. Our bedroom was a reasonable size, I have stayed in much smaller!! My only gripe was that... more
