This is a terrific hotel right off St. Mark's. The rooms are large, particularly for Europe, and it didn't cost an arm and a leg. You do have to check in at the Monaco and they lead you to the Selvadego but it's not a big deal. Extremely clean, with great, friendly service. Very strylish, if small breakfast room. more

This hotel is a great base for the main sights in Venice. It is clean and modern. Staff were helpful and polite. Wow! This was a great place to stay! So close to the things you want to experience in Venice. The rooms were quiet and well appointed, with ancient, exposed beams. Lovely hotel right beside the arches to Piazza san Marco. Breakfast down the street at the opulent Hotel Monaco was a treat - right on the canal. The pillows were a bit of an afterthought.
