Stayed three nights at the Ca Del Campo in mid May 2007. Paid 275/285 per night which is a lot of money, but that is Venice. The hotel had a great location, only five minutes walk from the Basilica, yet was quiet and away from the maddening crowds. The CDC is a boutique hotel and is probably an old converted... more

We have just returned from a long weekend in Venice, having booked the hotel with no knowledge other than other reviews, price and location as detailed on an internet site. The location was fantastic (2 mins from St Mark's Sqaure, 5 mins from the Realto bridge), the room was spotless and a very good size, the air conditioning worked very... more

would agree with the other reviews, we had a lovely stay. only negative thing I can say is that I was very suprised that the bed in the bedroom is actually a sofa bed, and to me when you book a room with a bed you are not really asking for a room with a sofa (which was never used... more

This hotel has some good points and some weaknesses. It is within 5 minutes walk of St Marks Sq and well placed for other attractions. We were able to pop back to have a rest in the middle of the day. Our room (108), which opened directly into the reception area, was clean, quite spacious although with no easy chair,... more

My wife and I have just come back from a super three days at this hotel. When we go back to Venice we will stay here again and recommend it highly. The hotel was distant enough from St Marks Square to be quiet and close enough the hub of the citie's canals and all that fantastic coffee, pizza and pastry.... more

We stayed for 2 nights in March and found the hotel to be good value for money. The rooms were tradional and clean with high ceilings and antiques, and the bathroom was spotless and modern. You can't beat the location - just a few minutes walk from San Marco square and no need to cross any bridges with your luggage... more

Very nice hotel. The hotel offers exelent value for money. We paid A little more than 100Euro/night in early march (low season). For that you get a perfect location, just a few steps from Piazza San Marco! Very nice hotel in general, not a luxury hotel though, but for sure better than the average 3* in Venice. Spotless rooms, modern... more

We stayed four nights - monday to thursday - at this hotel late January/early February 2007. The hotel is very centrally located for the sights and getting around Venice. We had a room by the reception which had a nice view. The staff were very helpful and polite. Their recommendations the hotel made for restaurants and places to visit were... more

We are a family of 4 and booked 2 adjoining rooms ("family room") with 1 bath on first floor facing the canal. Location of hotel is most convenient to SanMarco and shops. Hotel not easy to find the first time -- but that is the hallmark of Venice. [Take alley next to America cafe to Cartier store. Bear right and... more

Our first hotel confirmed we were not confirmed less than 24 hours before our arrival in Venice. We were lucky to find a double available at the del Campo, and found the front office staff prompt and responsive to our travelling e mails. The hotel and rooms were as described: clean, secure, well appointed baths, english spoken by the staff,... more
