We were two older ladies on our first trip to Venice and found the hotel fairly easily with help of website map and signs on the walls. Staff were very welcoming and helpful. showed us around the hotel while we waited for them to change the beds into twin rather than a double. Breakfast was filling and kept us going... more

We walked from the train station after an overnight trip from Paris. It is not really a 5 minute walk though. We were very tired and lugging our suitcases over 15 bridges only to find we were on the wrong side of the island was frustrating. However a very nice Italian man called the hotel and helped us get proper... more

I booked two "superior" double rooms for myself and another couple. Perhaps the word superior has a different meaning in Italian, but I honestly did not think that the two rooms on the fourth floor (no lift) truly merited that description. Nothing seriously wrong with them, both a reasonable size although not a great deal of space round the bed... more

This is a small hotel in a convenient locatiion -- that can, nonethless, be hard to find if you don't know Venice. Make sure you get directions before you go. It is a 10 minute walk from Plaza Roma. We actually did not stay in the main hotel. We were two adults and two children and they put us up... more

If it's a hotel you are expecting (as we were, having read the previous reviews) do not stay here! It's more like a run down B&B. The entrance is tiny which is not a problem but the stale, damp smell when you are let in the door is disgusting. You then make your way up the narrow stairs to the... more

Excellent location on a quiet little street a few easy minutes from a vaporetto stop and 20 minutes easy walk from the San Marco square. The room size was average by Venice standards, but extremely clean and the bathroom looked like it had just been remodeled. Breakfast was adequate and served in a lovely room with a view of Venice... more

We spent a weekend here at the beginning of July. We had a quadruple room. It looked like a suite with the extra double bed in the sitting room area. It made the room cramped, but still okay. The primary bed was comfortable, but the extra bed felt like a sofa pull out bed. Our arrival was delayed until airport... more

My family (1 senior, 3 adults) just spent 3 nights at Ca' San Polo in Venice. Good things first...the room we had was cute and cozy. The bathroom was clean, and the included breakfast is good/standard for Italy. Note: If you like coffee/espresso, go elsewhere...they have a self-serve, instant espresso/cappucino machine that makes horrible drinks with the press of a... more

We spent a long weekend at this hotel in October and in my opinion it is a great little hotel with lots of character. On approach it seems very unexciting, one door with a buzzer up a small side street. However once you go in and up to the first floor reception you see its real character. Staff are friendly... more

This small hotel is located in an ideal location, within 2 minutes walk from the St. Thomas vaparetto stop and 5 minutes walk to Rialto. Having read the previous posts I had expected it to be a lot further and was delighted it was as close. There are many inexpensive but quality eateries in te vicinity. Back to the hotel... more
