My fiance and I were originally booked for the Castello, but they shuffled us over to the Locanda Correr a few doors down the alley. I wish I had insisted on a room in the main hotel we booked, but at least the front desk service at the Castello was nice enough, fairly helpful - they allowed us to check... More

I was really surprised by this little hotel as I was not expecting much from a 3 star hotel in Venice. Although it's not a cheap option, the hotel room is clean, relatively new, bathroom is modern but small and all in all a very nice place. Check-in is at the Hotel Castello (about 10 meters away) but this wasn't... More

We spent 30 minutes wandering around the neighbourhood trying to locate the hotel, even local restaurants hd never heard of it!!! Only a street vendor knew it and gave us a clue as to where it was! When we got to the Hotel Locanda Correr, we found a message directing us to the Hotel Castello and we were given a... More

The location is superb, and -- for Venice -- the price is reasonable. The English-speaking staff were very helpful from check-in to check-out, and the room was clean and comfortable, although quite cramped. (The in-room fridge was also pretty devoid of anything worth eating or drinking.) As others have noted, it is also extremely difficult to find. Neither the address... More

Bottomline: Great location, good value This hotel was a five-minute walk from Saint Mark's Square. It was in the center of exactly where you want to be on a trip to Venice. When we stayed in March it was about $120 a night, which was a great value for that location. The room was small and simple, but comfortable enough... More

We stayed here 2 nights at the beginning of our 2 weeks in Italy on a friend recommendation. The hotel was in a GREAT location for exploring Venice & a good value for the proximity to St. Marks Square. Most services are run from the hotel next door, Hotel Castello, so you check in, drop your key and have breakfast... More

My wife and I found this through Rick Steve's and checked it out through TripAdvisor. The Locanda is actually attached to another hotel that is owned by the same person. It has only five rooms and is located right next to San Marco Square and just a few minutes walk from the San Zaccaria vaporetta stop. The hotel does not... More

A little strange that you check into this hotel by checking in at another hotel just down the alley. The alley was a little scary - kinda dirty and remote feeling - but the overall location in Venice was great. So after you check in down the alley - this is also where you have breakfast - and that was... More

With my boyfriend we stayed 2 nights at the hotel, the bedroom was very pretty, with the venetian style. The bedroom was very clean, the bed were very comfortable, we slept like log. We had our bathroom with toilet, it was very very clean. About the TV, there were Italian channel but we didn't watch too much, we spent more... More

This tiny gem (five rooms in all) was fantastic. The room, while a bit on the small side, had everything we needed. The staff was responsive to our needs without being intrusive. The included breakfast was just what we needed to start each day. We traveled off-peak, and because of that, the price was less per night than a stay... More
