This place is a series of apartments and rooms; we had what was essentially a studio apartment with private entrance and en suite bath. The room was very nice, spacious, seemed to be recently renovated with modern decor, and had an actual queen bed (not two twin beds pushed together like we found in other hotels in Italy!). There were many nice touches like a mini-fridge stocked with water and juice, utensils, plenty of towels, extra blankets, etc. Bathroom did smell a bit, but may just be normal in Venice. The room had no A/C but had a ceiling fan, which came in handy during the heat wave we experienced.
The location was good and really reasonable for the price of the room. It's in the quiet San Croce neighborhood, closest to the San Stae vaporetto stop. It's about a 20 min walk from train station (definitely use the city signs and don't attempt using a map your first time through to find 'shortcuts), 12 mins to Rialto Bridge, and 30 mins to San Marco.
