What a lovely little hotel this was! Very central - situated in a little alley just off the main street between the railway station and the Rialto bridge. 10mins to station and 20 to Rialto. The water bus stop was 2 minutes away called Marcuola (turn left out of hotel Alley way and its signposted on an orange sign) and... more

Booked through travel republic, I stayed for one night before I started work in Mestre. For a single room in August I paid £33 which was a bargain. The hotel is central and clean and tidy, this is a budget hotel so don't go in expecting the most luxurious surroundings. My single room wasn't actually a single and had a... more

This hotel is at the very bottom of Venice's budget hotels. Clean, friendly and in a good location what makes the Leonardo stand out from others in it's price range is it's breakfast. In all my years visiting Venice never have I had such a sad, scimpy and begrudging breakfast served up. It was mean, cheap and insulting. One cup... more

I specifically asked to have a room with air cons and and on suite because i was with my mother who was not well. They gave us a room with shower inside but the shower room was so tiny that we couldn't wash ourself properly. It was dirty and falling apart. They did not give us a room with Air... more

This hotel was in a really good location for getting around venice and was affordable for the budget traveller. we had an ensuite room which was really clean and everything we wanted. The only downside was that the front door got locked at 1pm and if you were back after this you got locked out for the whole night. This... more

We ended up staying here and paying €130 for an ensuite double room. The Hotel website looked ok and we could not find any other hotels during what turned out to be a holiday weekend. I was not expecting much of the hotel being a 2/3 star but it was very disappointing the beds we very old and saggy and... more

We received excellent service at the Hotel Leonardo in Venice. While the location is a bit distant from San Marco, the Rialto and the Galleria d'Academia, and the accomodations themselves were a bit drab, the courteous and helpful staff more than made up for it. When we were out touring the city, the hotel experienced a plumbing problem in part... more

Don't spoil your trip to Venice by staying here. The rooms are of poor standard and the staff are rude. We paid extra to have a room with an ensuite. For the price we paid (100 euro) we expected a fairly nice room. Instead we got a run-down, grubby and bare room with a mouldy shower that didn't drain properly... more

3-star hotel with CAMP BEDS, so unless you want to ruin your back you have to fold them up and put the mattress on the floor. But since they leave the windows open, the room's full of mosquitoes, so sleeping is difficult anyway. And the ensuite rooms are close enough to the toilet for the cheaper rooms so you hear... more

The hotel is nice and it is for a good price. We had our own bathroom and shower. Room’s were very nice thought the walls were paper thin (you could hear everything, event the water draining). Breakfast was very small (bread cheese and coffee) I would stay there again. more
