Large well laid out site with good restaurant, bar, swimming pool, shop. There is a bus from the site to/from Venice every hour. Venice is approx 10 miles away. Campers include bus loads of students so the site can be lively/noisy. Showers/toilets could do with refurbishment and better cleaning. Since it is alongside the airport runway there can be aircraft... more

The camping site is only about 5-10 min drive from the Marco Polo Airport, and very easy to find. The bungalows are small, and do get very hot in the summer, however for 20EUR/night I'm not complaining. The restaurant is excellent and cheap, but sometimes at busy times you might have to wait for the food quite a long time.... more

My sister and I travelled to italy, and when she said we'd be camping, i didn't think it was going to be anything like this. We came for my birthday, and to be honest it was the best birthday i ever had! No trouble at all, the people were really friendly. Met some amazing people.and overall had a great time.... more

When visiting Venice in high season and looking for an affordable accommodation, this is a good place to go to. You don't need your own camping gear, as the campsite rents small tents and cabins with basic but clean and comfortable facilities. You use the campsite's public showers and toilets (also clean and in good condition). There's a swimming pool... more

The Alan Rodgers guide states this is 'near' the airport. We chose a campsite as far as possible from the backpackers. Unfortunately this meant we were camped adjacent to a runway. No, I exagerate, there was an embankment and a small canal, then the airport. The planes start at 5am. That I could cope with, and the mosquitoes. And the... more

ignore the bad reviews here, they must have been written by people who were clearly looking for a quiet countryside break! we went as a group of 6 student backpackers, so it's what we were looking for! the campsite was easily accessible by the bus and not too expensive, general prices were what you would expect. there's a great happy... more

We came here via Busabout and booked a private cabin with an ensuite, which was clean and comfy. The campsite isn't huge but it's nicely decked out and has a good bar and great restaurant. There's also a supermarket, and a shuttle bus to take you into Venice which from memory is about a 20 minute trip. There are two... more

I originally booked for 3 nights but since really liked it stayed for extra night. I stayed in a double cabin which had own shower and toilet. Cost 37 euro per night. The bar staff were great, we ended up drinking until 4.30am one night playing beer drinking games with them after they closed up. The reception staff were also... more

Camping Alba D'Oro is extremely cheap, as any campground is but regardless of the price, nothing could ever make me come back again. The "cabins" are actually tiny portable units (trailers) that are lined up in the back. Tents are available in the area prone to flooding and there are also empty lots if you decide to bring your own... more
