First the positives...the air conditioning worked well, the suites were fairly spacious, the front desk was very helpful, and the pool and nearby beach were a welcome relief from the very humid and hot weather. I was a little nervous at first not actually staying in Venice itself with all the canals, after all that is what you go there for. But after reading similar reviews I cann't stress how good it was to take the short water taxi ride back to Lido and relax in some quite low key apartment after the busy crowds... more

Venice is such fun with kids, everything around you is the attraction rather than queueing for museums. Added bonus is no cars around, making walking with kids a pleasure, plus boat buses are fun and easy with kids. The hotel was very clean and comfortable. Lido is beautiful and easy to navigate. There are beautiful beaches just a short walk away. The waterbus system also was pretty easy to figure out. Very short water bus ride to Venice's St. Mark's Square. Best of all, I found this hotel to be reasonably priced in comparison with hotels in Venice. more
