What a lovely boutique style hotel. I booked a single room for 1 night directly from Hotel Tiepolo’s website – the rate was 50 euros. The room was spacious for a single, spotless with a clean minimalist decor and high wood beamed ceilings. The bathroom was oversized, well stocked and had a relaxing spa shower. The staff was very accommodating... more

We paid just 90 euros for a nice big double room with incredibly high beamed ceilings and antique fireplace, breakfast included just steps from St Mark's square. As it was just one night we didn't mind the fact it had no view but did appreciate the free toothbrush and paste! The decor has some charm combining the antique features of... more

Terrible corridor to the entrance, got scared off, but once you steps in, everything is trendy. Superb convenience location, few mins walk from St. Marco square, nothing can beat that. Somehow the bathroom towel is very rough, I thought they are table cloths. Minor smell from the river (our room can see the small canal with gondolas around, which is... more

We travelled as a family of 5 and booked one double, one twin and one single room. The hotel is approached from the darkest narrowest alley i have ever seen and it is a bit soul destroying to be honest. However when we opened the door we were met by a lovely receptionist who showed us to two of our... more

Minibar fridge did not work, the light was on but everything inside it was warm. Hairdryer did not work either and when repaired, had only the blowing strength of an asthmatic butterfly. Air con was freezing. No lid on the waste bin in the bathroom Staff usually on duty at their other hotel, next door, so no 24 hour reception.... more

Stayed here in November. Upon finding the hotel down a small alleyway off the main square we were welcomed and shown to our lovely room 104. The room was spacious with an open beamed ceiling, modern furnishings and a canal view from both windows. Te bathroom was mosaic tiled in blue and white with a power shower, wc, bidet and... more

This hotel is in partnership with another hotel across the piazza, and the hotel staff goes between the two hotels. Actually, this hotel doesn't really have a stationary staff and the reception desk is usually not occupied. So there is no one to call for information from your room, etc. On the other hand, the room was immaculate, modern, comfortable... more

I totally concur with the fellow Swiss reviewer - the Tiepolo is not the best hotel (access to main door, shower with a missing door panel) but for the price, it is very good value. We stayed at the Tiepolo after Xmas so it was off-peak – we got a canal room for 70 euros a night which is very... more

For the traveler with a bit of flexibility, the Tiepolo is an ideal place to stay. It is clean, modern and the location is fantastic. Oh, and it was an amazing value (EUR 70 per night, including taxes, fees and a breakfast for two). But in order to achieve the value a place like the Tiepolo offers, you have to... more
