La Commedia hotel is near the Rialto Bridge in a side road and so easy to find your way back to. The rooms are decorated luxuriously. Tiny bar area. Small breakfast room but doesn't double up as a restaurant in the evening, which is a shame. Go on their website to see for yourself how nice it is. more

Everything here was either very good or great--except the pillows. Somehow my gringa American head has not gotten accustomed to the hard sausage shaped European pillows.
