First, this hotel was really tough to find, especially for someone who has never been to Venice before. With the help of a florist and three other Venetians, though, we finally found the little courtyard (off a tiny alleyway) and the hotel's entrance with its iron gate and little button-buzzer. When someone finally appeared, they quickly greeted us, showed us the apartment, then demanded full payment for three nites (330 euro) in cash. When I told them I did not have that amount on my person, one lady took me to two bank machines (which did not work), then abruptly told me that I would have to deal with the owner tomorrow.
