I stayed here in November, and loved it! Daniella was a superb, friendly host and her detailed map helped us to understand the ferries - and her restaurant recommendations were spot on (La Zucca is excellent!!). We loved the location as it was easy to get to from the Plaza Roma where the airport shuttles goes and also close to... more

You couldn't ask for a better hostess! We arrived and she had a map of the city and spent half an hour explaining the vaporetto system, pointing out her favorite restaurants, and giving us information about the main sightseeing spots. The room and bathroom were spotless, quiet, and private and breakfast the next morning was delicious- homemade cakes, jams, rolls... more

We stayed with Daniela in 2007 and wanting to return to Venice, we stayed with her again, this time bringing two friends with us. We felt totally at home, and our friends just loved it ! Al Gallion really is a great retreat and base for those organising their own stay in this wonderful city. Thank you once agin Daniela... more

Our stay with Danielle was delightful. You couldn't ask for a better host. She was helpful, hospitable, and effervescent. She seemed to take delight in hosting travelers and we felt not only taken care of, but cared about. Her second floor home was clean, spacious, comfortable, and warmly decorated. Our room was very spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was ample and... more

We found this place online in a review of ANOTHER B&B. The reviewer was sent to Al Gallion for breakfast and said it was better than her B&B. So we booked Al Gallion instead of the other place. Glad we did. Exceptional value, service, location, etc. Newly remodeled, but shared baths in some rooms (the only negative). Hostess couldn't have... more

We only had a night with Daniela and I've not a lot of experience with B and B's, preferring the anonymity that comes with staying in a hotel; but really this B and B was perfect. As first-timers to Venice it was nice to get local advice about the city - in particular recommended restaurants. (In a way it reminded... more

The only downside was we only had one night prior to a cruise but what a fantastic choice we made. Daniela was wonderful host with homemade jam and cookies provided. The accommodation was large and roomy. Walking distance to Rialto and St Marcos. Many great restaurants close by. This was our second visit to Venice and ppreviously we stayed on... more

The B&B is well located next to train and bus station, in a quiet area where you can easily reach on foot the main atractions. Daniela is an warm and friendly host, who prepares a useful map with indications and excellent breakfasts with homemade jam. I definetly recommend this place. more

This was our second trip to Venice and we enjoyed staying at the Al Gallion B&B. The location was good, and I would recommend it for someone who is visiting Venice for a first time and enjoys walking through the city. It is in a quiet/residential feeling neighboorhood, but within a 15 minute walk from the train and bus stations.... more

Unfortunately we had only a one night stay at Al Gallion, we arrived at 12md following a ferry journey from Croatia, an hour earlier than I had indicated and were warmly welcomed by Emmanuel and his sister. We were shown our suite then Emmanuel told us about Venice. He recommended an Osteria, Alba Nova for lunch and booked a table,... more
