stayed here in August for the opera for a couple of nights. It is about 20 mins walk from the old town and they run a shuttle bus to and from the amphitheatre for the opera. the people running the hotel were really friendly and happy to pick us up after midnight when the opera ended. easy to walk into... more

We were at this hotel for the Opera and the down town hotels were full or very expensive. I was a little worried, thinking we may be way out of town. Easy to walk or take a bus. As soon as we arrived they could not have been more helpful or friendly. As we were early the room was not... more

In Verona, we prefer a hotel closer to the Piazza Bra but the Leopardi is a good second choice. It is clean, functional and well staffed. It is a little off the beaten track for most tourists but offers a good shuttle bus service to and from the Arena for performances there. It can be reached easily from the train... more

what should I add to all the other good reviews? The location is outside city ring but still you can walk to the Arena, breakfast is unbeatable for Italy and the rooms of this business hotel are spacious with all ammenities. You need to pay for the Spa (e.g. Sauna) but they offer free transportation to Arena during season. Check... more

it is a little bit out of town but the hotel is simply luxurious. Enormous Rooms, Immaculate Bath, Fantastic Breakfast Buffet. But whether Verona should be part of your itenary at all is a good question. We love Italy but did not care too much for this town - its an" emperor with no clothes." more

I stayed at this hotel with my husband and inlaws for 1 night in August 2007. We stopped in Verona while on our way from Milan to Venice. This hotel was awesome! Everyone agreed that this was the best hotel we stayed at during our 2 week tour of Italy. The price was only 100 euros a night for the... more

Stayed 2 nights in August. The positive point is that people at the reception were very nice, the hotel offers free car parking and a free shuttle to and from the opera. However, the room we were given needed urgent renovation. Broken wooden shutters attached by a rope (we finally discovered that they were replaced by a curtain), old bathroom... more

We stayed for 3 nights and were delighted with the hotel. Our room was very elegant and well-furnished. The shower over the bath was a bit of a nuisance as it was difficult not to get the bathroom floor wet when using it. Breakfast was very good and seemed to cater to every dietary requirement including gluten-free. The hotel also... more

I stayed here in august, for two nights. The hotel is very nice, new, modern, clean, the room was cosy, pleasant, and the bed is devine. The breakfast was above average after italian standards. On the other hand is far from the old part of Verona and you get really tired walking from there to the city center. Of course,... more

This hotel is four star, and seemed excellent value at about 80 Euro for a large, clean, comfortable room, with good TV, air-conditioning, and so on. The English-speaking reception staff were very helpful (especially Laura!), and the breakfast was good. The only bad feature is that the immediate vicinity is not especially desirable (e.g. there is a discreet sex shop... more
