My friends and I were the only non-german guests that we could see here. Our room was very cheap for opera season, and the hotel had free shuttle bus in and out of opera. Stayed for a week during May. Cracking hotel if you are looking for a base to explore Verona. It's about a 15 min walk into the centre of town - but a really pleasant walk. The San Marco Hotel is a nice, well kept hotel. It is outside the city and is about a 10-15 minute walk into Verona town. The downside to this place is its location - it's outside the walls and a taxi ride away from central Verona. It does have a good sized pool but this was so icy cold I couldn't bring myself to have a swim. A very nice four star hotel. We booked this as a walk in and paid 163 euros a night with an excellent breakfast. Rooms were very nice with all facilities, clean and in good order. Nice outdoor pool to relax in after touring the city. The hotel provides a free bus to take you there and back to the opera.... more

The service is very friendly and it seems that they are doing any efort to make you feel comfortable. it's a nice small hotel and the breakfest here is quite good. the only problem is that the hotel is not close to the center so if you dont have a car you need to take a bus'or walk for 20-30... more
