We stayed here for 6 nights. The hotel was modernized , very clean , everything supplied, any requests attended to immediately. IE extra pillows , iron and Ironing board. Internet access generous and private. The room was smallish but met all our needs and was comfortable. The staff were helpful and patient helping with directions etc. The Buffet breakfast was absolutely... more

We stayed at this hotel as part of a weeks visit to the Veneto region of Italy and were very pleasantly surprised at the standard of the hotel for the price that we paid. The hotel has recently been refurbished and our room and the public areas reflected this. The room we were given was spacious and comfortable and had... more

From ouside the Armando looks a bit seedy, but fear not. It is clean, yet basic with decent service. The whole hotel had obviously benifitted from a recent 'make-over'. The location makes it an easy 5 minute walk to the centre of the city. I find it difficult to rate the value, as it was the opera season. As hotels... more

We stayed here for 5 nights in May while visiting Verona and attending trade show in Vicenza. Extended our stay as hotel was great. Simple, clean rooms as per website photos, excellent breakfasts and free wireless internet which is great. Lots of good restaurants nearby including the Leon D'Oro pizza place in beautiful courtyard around the corner. This was our... more

This hotel was absolutely the bargain of the century. I would have paid double to have stayed here because not only was the location great, but the hotel itself was fantastically revamped, making it a very modern and comfortable place to stay. Not only that but the service was outstanding. A fantastic place to stay on all counts. Definitely coming... more

Only stayed here one night on our way from Nice to Venice. The hotel was a 10 Euro taxi ride (although you can get a bus for around 1Euro!!) from the train station and is only about a 5 minute walk from the main Arena area. Verona's old town is small enough that you can easily walk from one side... more

This is a two star hotel but it was better than a lot of three stars that we stayed at in Italy. I realise that we were there in the off-season (read, not the opera season) but it was such good value for money. The room was very roomy and clean and I saw the three single bed room next... more

Given both the price & location, it was quite a good deal. Booked a night in June '08 for EUR70 (breakfast included), and I have to say I did not expect to get such a nice room. A/C was really enjoyable as it was unbearably hot outside. Location is perfect, only a couple of minutes walk to the arena and... more

During the summer opera season lodging in the center of Verona is difficult to find, but we were determined to make our last minute trip to see the La Boheme a reality. A lot of hotels were booked as we called around, but we did find one that had a triple for our group. Debatable whether the hotel is one... more

Great location; easy to find parking. Spacious but drab room. We had a twin bedded room overlooking the courtyard, so we got the quiet that we needed. The ac here was mediocre at best; we requested and got a fan to supplement the ac. Elevator to rooms. The proprietors were older and did not speak English; they weren't particularly helpful... more
