We were booked at Hotel Monaco during our visit. The hotel was quite close to the office. It is a comfortable place to stay and the hotel staff was helpful. It is located in an industrial zone and slightly away(a few Km) from the Arena and Via Mazzini.

I have never stay such a this kind of disgusting place in my life ( china, india , Slovakia , Poland , Hungary etc ) and should stay 2 more days . Rooms are around 20 sqm . If you want to take a shower you must do it 1 meter to 1.5 meter place where is located hand washing area and Toilet. Every evening you can see prostitutes around hotel . There is only indian - italian guy is helpful and doing his best . All employees are trying to finish work time. You just hear No No No.. Water to tea they ask you to pay money . Breakfast is poor .wifi is working like their employees :)) This night it rained and water comes in to room. Outside weather is around 14 ° C inside is same . . .

Response from CPHOTELS, BOOKING OFFICE at Hotel Monaco
Responded 21 Oct 2015
Dear Mr. Emre A. , Our mission is always to satisfy the customers needs we are sorry to read your negative review. The rooms size range from 15 to 18 square meters (including the toilet), some toilet are a bit smaller than others. Furthermore, after a careful check, we found no water infiltrations in your room. Our Wi-Fi is a high-speed connection. Unfortunately during periods of high occupancy (as Marmomacc Fair) it is possible that create an overload and surfing time slow down. You could express your disappointment about these matters at the Reception and we were glad to solve any problem. We thought that everithing was fine since the prolongation of your stay for 2 additional nights. Our staff is always available to satisfy every request of our guests. We apologize if our effort was not enough for you. Kind regards Daiana Broggio

Dear Ms/Mrs. Kimberly, you're right, we are in industrial area. We are really sorry for prostitutes outside the Hotel, we can just report this matter to the Police every day. We apologize for the smoking room too. In your booking confirmation didn't appear your preference, but you could ask for a room change immediately at the Reception. We would be glad to assit you to solve the problem of ants too. Kind regards Daiana Broggio

We arrived at this hotel at 11:30 at night after having been sent here by AC Italia- we had a serious car problem and needed a place to stay. The "night watch" was prepared to send us back out on the street (with two children) because we have an 11 week old puppy- dogs not welcome. Great! this hotel follows the rules, but he did not lift a finger to help us in a very difficult situation as we do not know Verona. The streets were lined with trucks, tour buses, and ladies walking the streets. Our children were terrified and we were shocked to be sent out at almost midnight- with no place to stay!!!

Dear Guest, We apologize for any inconvenience but we would like you to inform you that unfortunately it was impossbile to give you an accommodation that night. Little pets are allowed in our property but there was only a triple room with three separated beds available and you were 4 people with a little dog. Our night auditor would be glad to help you but he understood that you were looking for a new accomodation by yourself. Sorry for this misunderstading. Kind regards Daiana Broggio

This is a nice place for one night. The hotel is clean, and it is close to highway. Besides breakfast there is nothing else. WiFi is not free of charge, there is no drinkable water, and around the there are factories and offices.

As someone else has said, this is a basic hotel in an industrial part of Verona, not the place where you would want to spend your vacations. But for a day (or a few days) in Verona - let's say to visit Romeo and Juliet - this is an agreeable house. Dinner and breakfast were good, even though we had a very late dinner and a terribly early breakfast due to our bus schedule; the very friendly staff made this possible. After some trials the WiFi worked, too.

Spent on night here. The rooms were ok. Unfourtunately, being in a industry area, you have to rely on auto to get anywhere. It is about 500 meters from a main highway. So if you are just traveling through and need a place, this would be fine. It is mainly for buisiness travelers (with the Congress Hall very close by), and is not family friendly. Nothing for kids to do, and right on the street. The rooms were clean. Only 1 radio station and 12 tv channels of which BBC News is the only english speaking channel, to plan to sleep in the room and seek entertainment elsewhere. We were there on Saturday, and were more than a little surpised that the Hotel bar is closed on Saturdays (Not the weekend, just Saturday). The real saving grace was the hotel resturaunt. We were all delighted with the qualitiy of the food. They could compete with most resturaunts in the city: Our waiter Paulo, keep us well supplied with food, libations and was himslef entertaining enough to save the evening. If in Verona again, I might eat at the resturaunt, but would seek out other sleeping arangements.

Dear Mr./Mrs. ChrisWinc, thank You for Your feedback. We have to say that You are right, for children there is nothing to do, but actually our Hotel is located in an industrial area. Seems to us very strange that You found the bar closed, maybe You intend that one close by the Hotel which has an own property and by Saturday and Sunday it is always closed. The bar inside the Hotel is open round the clock. Thank You once more for the good words regarding the restaurant, we will inform Mr. Paolo and our Chef Alessio about Your satisfaction. Best regards, Federico Girardi

My friend and I stayed at this hotel for five nights in June 2014. From the moment we arrived we were treated like VIP's. The staff were brilliant, very helpful and polite, especially Paulo in the restaurant who had the most fantastic sense of humour and was also very good at his job. In fact all the restaurant staff were excellent. Paulo could not do enough for us and even though the restaurant is closed on Sundays, because they had a large group staying in the hotel and wanting dinner they included us and we were give the most beautiful meal. The hotel is spotlessly clean, the buffet breakfast was excellent and the reception staff were all very helpful and informative. On arrival at the hotel we were given a room with a double bed but within five minutes the reception staff changed the room and gave us a twin. The bedding in our room was changed each day and for a three star hotel this was above and beyond what we expected. As the hotel is on the outskirts of the city the number 61 bus takes about 10 minutes to take you into the city centre. There are no buses running on Sundays and a taxi ride will cost about 13 euros each way. All in all we had a wonderful holiday and would not hesitate to recommend this hotel. WELL DONE Hotel Monaco.

Went for a conference at Conference centre roughly a km from the hotel. Walking distance and No.61 bus takes you to the centre as well as the town centre. Town centre itself is about 45 minutes walk from hotel. Taxis are not expensive and has provides a good service. The hotel itself is okay. It has an older look. Basic facilities but all are clean. The breakfast is standard. The receptionists were very helpful and can communicate well in English. My room was small. The window was boarded up with a shutter, could not open. The aircon was working well. The bathroom was clean. So a budget accommodation. There is a supermarket not so far from here, no food items though. There is also a McDonalds near by. I choose to have Italian delicacy from the town and boy there was a lot of fantastic choice. The weather was supreme and we could sit out facing a super backdrop of the main square of Verona. If you haven't visited, would strongly advice. Easily connected by train to Milan and Venice.
