Masseria Incantalupi is a wonderful working Masseria that stables 30 horses. Our 2-1/2 half year old had so much fun, was taken for tours of the stables and went from being afraid of horses to feeding the horses apples by hand within a week.

The service which was provided mostly by relatives of the owners was exceptional and consistent.

The rooms are air conditioned, cleaned daily and it was nice to come home from a full day of at the beach or visiting all the sites.

The genuine warmth of the welcome we received went beyond the call of duty, our 2-1/2 year old cried upon leaving. Italians are known to be family and child friendly but this was really exceptional service.

We stayed 2 weeks and we really left feeling like we got our money's worth, truly great value for money.

Masseria Incantalupi is centrally located for day trips to Lecci, Gallipoli and Bari.

Many thanks to Marietheresa and Marielena for making us feel so...

From the masseria, both the Adriatic and Ionian seas are within half an hour.

Incantalupi has 9 rooms (more properly suites- 5 of them are of family size): comfortable, large, laid-back, with the vaulted star ceilings in stone characteristic of the area and period furniture. The hotel opened 2 years ago, after the owning family had renovated their farmhouse buildings with simple elegance. ( We came across it- ben trovato - by chance on the internet). It opens all year round; there are fireplaces in the rooms.

The lay-out is quasi-monastic or collegiate. You take your aperitif surveying a quad, including its own chapel and small museum, before ( if you want ) tackling...
