To tell the truth, we were a little disappointed with this B&B, but for the price which is quite low for Sardinia it was a good place to stay. But don't expect too much of it. I was really surprised, that it got so many 5*. I never would say, it's a five star location. And I am not the... more

From April 2008 in the B&B Blue Dolphin we have all the rooms with private bathroom inside (ensuite). The breakfast is packed because the italian low for the b&b (snacks, sugar, biscuits, toasted bred, milk, marmalade, honey, all of this are single packed). Roberto (owner)

I've been in Alghero last weekend and I stayed two nights in B&B Blue Dolphin. The owner is very helpful and neighbourly, the room is really tiny and very spacious. Roberto, the owner gave us a warm welcome and some useful information! Inside the house there is a small kitchen where you can prepare and have breakfast. I think this... more

This B&B can surely not deserve to be rated as top in Alghero. We thoroghly enjoyed our week long stay on the island but little did it have to do with our accomodation. The B&B is a 20 minute walk from the 'old town' on the very edge of Alghero overlooking a school and a building site. The breakfast consisted... more

Quite a nice B&B, located on the far edge of town. Clean, comfortable, simple accomodation. Shared bathroom. Very basic breakfast. Quite a way from the centre of Alghero, about 20 min walk, but its located in a fairly quiet residential street. There is a supermarket on the next road. We hired a car & there is on-street parking outside or... more

I am just writing to confirm what the other reviews say about Blue Dolphin. If you read them all you will get a balanced view of the b+b and in particular the effort that Roberto puts into it . He is obviously proud of his town and is keen to help his guests make the most of their stay. Although Sardinia... more

Situated up a back street on the edge of Alghero with no view worth talking about, 'The Blue Dolphin' seems an unlikely place to find a little bit of heaven. But there it is; a beautifully presented large room with adjacent shared bathroom and kitchen might not qualify in most people's opinion as much to write home about but when... more

6 of us went to Alghero just for one night, because it was a super-cheap flight and we fancied a Christmas night out with a difference! We arrived late in the evening, to find out that our original B+B (owned by Roberto's sister) had been double booked. Initially disappointed, tired and wary of where we might be going, the lovely... more

The Blue Dolphin is ideal for those booking a short stay in Alghero. After our flight into Alghero we took the bus into town and were met by the owner, Roberto at the bus station. He drove us to the B & B which is about 15 minutes walk from the centre of the old town. The B & B... more

My wife and I stayed here in March for just over a week and were very pleased with our choice of accommodation, as detailed below. - Location Although not the most centrally-located choice (it's around 15 minutes' walk from the heart of the town), this makes for a better price and more peaceful setting (an apartment building on the end... more

Two friends and I spent three nights at Blue Dolphin in February. Roberto was a gracious host right from the start, even picking us up after we had gotten lost. The accomodation was amazing. The first impression I got when I arrived was how clean the bed and breakfast was. It was well beyond any 5-star hotel I'd ever stayed... more
