We stayed with Mario and Giovanna for 6 nights in November and it was absolutely wonderful. The location is very central and within easy walking distance of old town. Alghero in November is lovely, quiet and not too hot. As hosts, they are not intrusive, yet available if you ever need them. Mario knows everyone and everything about the area... more

Stayed with mario in 2002 when we were poor students and there was nothing they would not do to help you. Even helped take sea urchins out of my girlfriends foot. Great location close to town but also great people. more

We first travelled to Alghero as poor students and although we could afford something more 'upmarket' now we wouldn't dream of staying anywhere else - we even returned for our honeymoon. This is a basic B&B, which was fine for a one-night stay between arriving on a late flight and leaving Alghero early the next morning. The location was fine, and is walking distance from the central business district. Mario was very friendly and welcoming, and speaks good English. The room and bathroom (shared) seemed clean enough, but not necessarily spotless.... more
