such a shame that the squalid location of this beautiful old hotel made it hard for us to stay any longer than two nights. The streets were full of rubbish and human debrisand vile odours. We normaly spend much time in Cefalu, Sicily, although once in a while we go to Palermo and Villa Igiea. You get a feeling of the time before WWI. Very nice garden, marvelous rooms. A real retreat.
