"Due Sorelle" stayed at il Limoneto, April 2007, first week of our two week trip to Sicily. This was our base from which we explore areas, by car, in the southeast quadrant - north to the Taormina area, south to Portopalo di Capo Passero, to Noto, Ragusa, Scicli, Modica (Chocolate!), Palazollo Acreide, Caltigirone. Made arrangements through the "daughter of the... more

We booked three nights at Limoneto and we were happy all the time. Upon booking they gave us excellent directions to get there ,and when we arrived we were warmly welcomed by the owners . They gave us maps and suggestions to visit the surrounding area . Adelina told us where to park our car when in town and that... more

Based on previous reviews we expected a great experience. NOT SO! Rooms good, but "mama" really quite ugly. We booked a cooking class but canceled it because food was among the worst we experienced. Stay somewhere else!! more

Turned up to lots of gates (as others have said) but once inside we had a breathtaking room with a huge bed, sofa and table and three beds on a mezzanine level (it was just the two of us). The manager (?) who sorted out our booking was very helpful and friendly. The lemon orchards are lovely and it is... more

In September 2007, we visited three Agriturismo B&B’s in Sicily and were pleased with all except Limoneto. We stayed 3 nights here in room number 1. When we arrived we were met (not greeted) and shown to our room where I noticed a sign on the wall stating “The room must be left within 11:00 a.m. of the day of... more

We took an 8 day trip to Sicily en route to mainland Italy last October. Decided to book an Agriturismo near Catania airport for the first 2 nights. Chose Limoneto after checking various Agriturismo web sites. Found the location easily with its lemon groves. Accomodation excellent, seemed virtually brand new. Good base from which to visit Ortygia, Nota, Pantalica. We... more

A couple from San Francisco, whom we met at similar accommodation near Piazza Armerina, recommended Il Limonetto to us. We just turned up and found that there was a room available. The room was clean and welcoming and the setting in a lemon grove is delightful. The dinner,(20 euros each) which we ate with another couple from California, was very... more

We stayed here for six days and explored the surrounding areas of Siracusa, Noto, Caltigirone, the Vendicari Preserve, the beaches, etc., etc. Perhaps because we stayed at the end of the busy season, staff, food, lodging...all seemed tired and somewhat uninspired. However, cooking class was fun and wonderful with Mrs. Moscati; hanging with international travelers before, during, and after breakfast... more

I booked the Limoneto based on these reviews, and stayed away from eating both breakfast and dinner there based on these reviews, and the recommendations of other current guests. I was glad we did, as we found excellent restaurants in Ortigia (especially 'Le Baronie', it is excellent). Il Limoneto is indeed very relaxing and quiet, and it was pleasant to... more

Experiences are personal and unique, that’s why something may be appreciated by some people and not appreciated by others. We deeply respect and accept the opinions of those who have been at Limoneto and have experienced it. When our guests are not happy, and we happen to know it , we always try to make things better, because on this...

If you are looking for a peaceful place, not too far from the action in Siracusa and Ortigia, try the Limoneto. My friend and I just returned from a wonderful trip in Sicily and decided to stay there for two nights. We had a clean, good sized, double room (#8) which was private and over looked the lemon grove. It... more
