The Hotel seems nice from the pictures, but when you show up it's another thing. The lobby is lovely, but the rooms are what prompted me to write this review. The first room we were given was incredibly noisy due to street noise, so we asked to switch. The second room was worse. It was quiet, but that was the... more

This costed £120 quid for 3 days and was worth every penny. The staff were really friendly, polite and helpful. Fantastic hotel, full of art, with a lovely bar in the reception area and on a terrace. Rooms were fantastic, 4 poster bed, massive bathroom with a massive shower room. Not too far from the Duomo and the Uffizi. Easy... more

The Hotel Cellai is a shabby, outdated inn with major issues. Over the course of 3 weeks, we stayed in many European hotels in the same price range, and this - by far - was our worst experience. During our stay, everything from our room key to the pillows to the electrical issues to plumbing problems disappointed us. Upon getting... more

I was a member of the wedding party Dorset Ted has described in his review, "Drunken Wedding Party" and I feel compelled to put him straight on the facts of that aforementioned night. It was not 3am but 200am. more

Stayed three nights. OK until Anglo-American wedding party checked in. They arrived back in very drunken state at 3.00am. Woke us up as they went on to roof terrace and proceeded to consume more booze and drop bottles, sing, and generally make a lot of noise. Some were staying in another hotel. I complained to night manager, but he could... more

Room was O.K., Breakfast was nice, but the maid or someone with access cleaned out my suitcase for my dining money, while I visited museums. Quite a downer on an otherwise nice vacation. Beware, don't stay there. more

We stayed three nights here in the autumn of 2007. My review somehow never got published so I thought I must try again having read some negative reviews in the meantime. Very unfair, this is a sweet hotel that rightly can call itself a boutique hotel. The owner, who surely does not remember us (we met him on the lovely... more

I recently had the most impressive service from the staff at Hotel Cellai. I had the misfortune of the airline losing my luggage and the amount of initiative and proactive support the staff showed, meant that the hotel eventually located my luggage for me, even though the airline couldn't. If you want personal, caring and absolutely professional support during your... more

We were quit disappointed staying at hotel Cellai. It is not a 3 star hotel. They call themselves a "boutique hotel" but that is just not true. The hotel is realy shabby and I don't meen "shabby-chic". It is too expensive compered to what you get. The room was small and the bathroom realy in need of a renovation (several... more

We loved our stay at the Cellai Hotel. The hotel is very quaint and beautiful. We enjoyed our drinks on the rooftop garden at the end of the day. Great memories. more
