Stayed during New Years and fell in love with the unique layout and grounds. (When I say "unique layout", at the end of my 3 days I still wasn't able to navigate it without making at least one wrong turn.) My room was on the small side but lacked nothing I needed, and the furniture, bath fixtures, and tile floors...

I enjoyed staying at the Monna Lisa. The hotel is filled with art and the garden is beautiful and allows you to escape from being in the city of Florence. The staff was very helpful and caring, but that might only be if you speak italian. The rooms weren't amazing but they were fine and comfortable. The rooms are spacious,...

So, Florence, the city with history and epic charm - you need a hotel according to this atmosphere. I have stayed in this hotel twice during my visits to Florence and highly recommend it. Sure, some of the rooms are small and some of them need renovation but forgetting these you get a perfect location (quiet) and an amazing breakfast....

They spent all the money on the public areas and not the rooms. Room #4 should be avoided at all cost and if not, move to a different hotel.
The staff was ok but somewhat indifferent.
I would find a different hotel if I went to FLorence again.

We stayed at the hotel in mid October. It was okay. The room was okay. The blankets were rather old but the bed was comfortable. It was okay. The bathroom was renovated nicely, however, there was mold in the shower. It was okay. The public spaces in the hotel are lovely. We enjoyed cocktails at the bar. The bartender was...

I stayed here for 7 days and though my room was super tiny and near the elevator, the rest of the features were fine. I reasoned that I got the tiniest room because I traveled in early Nov and only paid a little more than 40E (including the 4E city tax per day) a night. But the hotel is centrally...

My wife and I stayed here for 4 nights on oct/2011 as part of our honeymoon. We wish we hadn't.
First of all, the room was nothing like advertised on the website. Our room must have been half the size of those shown on the photos, at most. The bathroom was really tiny also.
A really sad occurrence was my...

Dear Guests, we are very sorry to learn in this moment, while reading your review, that you did not liked the room you have been staying during your honeymoon in Florence. The room you had as you know is the only one with the balcony overlooking the garden in the main Palazzo, one of our most requested room. It is...

My husband and I stayed for two nights in Sep. We had a very large room in the old part of the Hotel.. We like antiques and prefer old over new. The room had very high ceilings, a comfortable king bed, works of art on the walls. The bathroom was fine..typical shower in the tub, but worked well for us....
