Arriving by train we found the hotel easily on foot. It's only a short walk to the centre of florence and the River Arno is at the bottom of the street. When we arrived, the man at the desk photocopied our passports but never gave them back to us. When we went to the desk the next day to ask... More

Our three nights in Florence were ideal thanks to the Hotel Unicorno's prime location (5 min. to Central Train Station, 5 min to Duomo, even less to the river) its friendly and accommodating staff that placed us on the newly renovated 3rd floor and of course the more than fair prices. We spent over twice as much for a hotel... More

We stayed at the Unicorno from 7th July to 14th July. Our stay was absolutely fantastic.. We would thouroughly recommend this hotel and if we ever go back to Florence we would definately stay at the Unicorno. It is a small family run hotel in a perfect location which is close to all amenities and points of interest. The hotel... More

This was our last hotel during our time in Italy and was probably our favourite. Its 5 minutes walk from the train station, 5 minutes walk into the main plaza. The room has been recently renovated which meant everything was new. The shower was amazing and the breakfast delicious. The owner on the reception was very helpfful and funny to... More

I work as a Tour Leader, and I see hotel rooms everyday. Well, this is one of my favorite in Italy. Nothing super posh (maybe 3 stars), but great location, nice rooms (try to book the new ones on the third floor), good continental breakfast (with scrambled eggs and sausages). But the best part is the reception area. Always, attentive... More

We booked 4 nights at Unicorno through Expedia at a price that was very reasonable, given the notoriously high cost of lodging in Florence. The hotel is very conveniently located near the train station, so you can walk there directly without the notorious hassles of hiring a taxi. Likewise, you can easily walk to most historical spots in Florence. The... More

The staff at the Unicorno were really welcoming and helpful. The rooms were fine and were cleaned each day with a change of towels. The hotel is really well positioned being close to the train station and many of the sights in the centre of Florence. There are lots of good restaurants nearby and the staff at the hotel are... /Although Helene at the front desk was charming, helpful and sweet we were very disappointed in the Hotel Our first room had no heat and she graciously gave us another (larger) room. The rooms were mediocre, hair dryer was just a tube, the floor tiles were cracked as was the celing. It was very clean however and I had no... More
