The hotel is nicely done and the staff was friendly. The rooms were small and some of the furnishings looked a little worn, but everything was spotless. Thanks to Tripadvisor reviews, we found Berchielli. Seems to cater to British, but is lovely. The location is perfect, right on the Arno River. Soundproofing windows keep sounds out. Next to the Uffizi, Ponte Vecchio, but a quiet island to itself. The staff was wonderful. Free internet in the lobby. Great breakfast buffet. more

A gem of a hotel. Right on the river in walking distance of everything. Very clean, quiet, excellent staff. A small roof garden to enjoy coffee or a drink. Great views. Recommend restaurants Mamaginas and Hostaria il desco. Both very good. more
