Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I cannot say enough good things about this hotel. The service was great. The breakfast amazing and the welcome snacks between 6:30 and 8:00 was our dinner one night. The location is great - just slightly away from the core of the action but easily walkable to and in a lovely neighbourhood. The room was big and the bed super comfortable, The hotel has character and charm. Each night at the welcome cocktails the first topic of discussion when meeting new people was always that this was the best find of their trip. It was ours!

Perfect, just perfect from the. time of bookings to when we left. 3 night stay Very friendly staff Free off street parking Great spacious rooms Lovely breakfast 20 min walk into town or take local bus They do a Happy Hour (90 mins) in the lounge area which is a brilliant idea, free drinks and nibbles and a great opportunity to meet other guests, swop suggestions for what to see and where to eat. A couple suggested a “free tour” that they had been on, we went on it the following day, just tip them what you want, it was great. Trattoria Gigi, 5 min walk was also a great restaurant suggestion.

Located just outside the historic center. Easy 20 minute walk along the river to the Ponte Vecchio bridge, or 5 minute bus ride on the C4 line located at the door of the hotel entrance. Very helpful and efficient front desk. Cozy lobby offering complementary coffee/tea/cold drinks all day, and a happy hour in the early evening. Rooms are large, airy and sunlit, quiet, clean, and comfortable with large bathroom. There is no kettle or coffee machine in the room. Breakfast serving is tasty but somewhat limited. All in all ... wonderful and positive hotel experience worthy of its high rating.

Thoroughly enjoyable stay at Hotel David. Staff were all really friendly and good natured. Our room was lovely with a high ceiling and big bathroom. Good breakfast buffet and a charming happy hour with drinks and snacks gratis whilst chatting to other guests. Hotel was situated near the river on the edge of the old town. A nice 20min walk into the centre. A few nice restaurants near by. Also great walk up to the Piazza Michaelangelo and Sam Mineato church nearby.

I chose this place because of the chatty cocktail hour and it didn't disappoint. I was traveling solo for the first time and met some cool people as we sat in the cozy sitting area drinking wine and eating little snacks. They even had GF snacks when I asked about that. When you walk to the center of the city, try different routes each time. I enjoyed seeing a few areas off the tourist track. My favorite part of my time in Florence was a private tour with Elena of Florence with Flair. Elena knows the city and art history and will tailor the tour to your interests. We saw some things that I would have missed entirely if not for her.

Comfortable king bed. Staff were helpful and kind. The room was clean and we didn’t hear any outside noise for a good sleep. This is a wonderfully organized hotel, the best in Wenatchee.Paul is always making sure things are running smoothly and that guests are happy. Wonderful stay.

Our 2 sons decided to do the Florence marathon and we jumped at the opportunity of returning to Florence and to the Hotel David. We had stayed before in April 2022. This is our favourite hotel we have ever stayed in anywhere we have travelled. The staff are wonderful Breakfast was excellent The rooms are very comfortable. The hotel has such a warm feeling, more like you are staying in a large house. Every evening there is complimentary wine and soft drinks with nibbles and you can sit in the lounge area or when the weather is better in the courtyard area. The hotel is situated away from the hustle and bustle and we enjoyed our walk along the river each day. We look forward to our next stay! Book directly on the hotels site for the best rates

We spent 6 nights at Hotel David in early January and absolutely loved the place! The hotel itself was charming and comfortable. The entire staff made us feel welcome and were very helpful in a warm and friendly manner. It almost felt like we were staying in their home. The breakfast was great and so was the happy hour, where we had enjoyable conversations with other guests. Just a wonderful stay!

My daughter and I stayed at this hotel one Saturday night during a whirlwinds couple of days in Florence. The hotel is a bit off the beaten path from the center of town and we took a taxi to get there. The hotel is along a pretty busy street, so if you’re sensitive to noise, you may want to ask for a room away from the front of the hotel. Our room was on the second floor and there is a small elevator. The rooms use old fashion keys to enter the room and you have to use the key from the inside to lock your door. Our room was small but fine, with a bed and a long narrow table at the fort of the bed. There was a mini bar there. There was a door to a nice balcony with a small table and two chairs. It would have been nice to sit out there in nicer weather. The bathroom was lovely, with bright colored tiles on all of the walls and floor. The main floor lobby area was lovely. There was a nice seating area with some couches and stuffed chairs as well as a seating area with tables and chairs where you could sit and eat. There was a kitchen with unlimited coffee and teas, a refrigerator of soft drinks, where you were requested to have no more than 3 a day and an honesty bar. From 6:30-8:30, there were appetizers and wine. If you were inclined, it could be enough for a light dinner. The staff was very friendly and helpful. There were several restaurants and stores within a couple of blocks of the hotel. There is an exterior gate that is locked at 9:00, which you’re given the code to, so you can re enter.

We recently stayed at Hotel David for six wonderful nights at the beginning of January. There are so many reasons why we recommend this hotel and will absolutely stay here again: The incredible staff -- so friendly and helpful... The thoughtful details -- coffee machine, drinks, aperitivo, breakfast, quality bathroom towels and products... The lovely location -- walking distance to all the sites and away from the tourists. Beautiful neighborhood gem! The only negative we found was the constant road/traffic noise and the mattress was way too hard for our liking. But the room was quite spacious, warm, and very clean.
