The location is rather far from the center. The owner is a micromanager. She had to control everything. There is only 1 TV in the breakfast room. Albergo Losanna is a very basic and clean budget rate hotel within walking distance of the main sights in Florence. We stayed in a double room with a private bathroom (60 euro a night, breakfast excluded) but there are rooms with shared facilities in the hotel as well. This place is reasonably priced, and within walking distance of most of the attractions in Florence. Rooms are very basic but clean. The place is a bit old, but that added to the charm of the stay. The hostess was very nice and helpful. She speaks very little English, but tried her best. We were in Italy, after all! more
