anyway, it is not that bad place to stay. We stayed in a dorm room, and what I can point - the stuff is ok, but wouldn't say that place is very clean. The furniture is old and strange, the bathroom is not well equiped, stairs look dangereous, but for the money you pay for a bed - everithing is... more

This was an alright place to stay. We booked a private room being first time hostel stayers and a little scared to do group. It was decent enough nice size and we had a small watercloset to our surprise since it said shared bathroom. I guess they meant literally the shower room was shared. The courtyard was very noisy in... more

I had a great time here. The receptionist was lovely, there is a large kitchen with all cooking appliances, free high speed internet. The 8 bed women dormitory was very clean and you can ask for a locker (5€ deposit). Note there is no breakfast\lunch or dinner available in August. The only downside is that there is no air conditioning... more

Good deal for the price payed. Very basic but has all the necessary stuff. Clean rooms with a personal locker (take your own padlock!) Confortable and quiet matress. Clean bathrooms although the showers have kind of see-through curtains (they're not co-ed though). Small and not very well equipped kitchen. There is a fridge though (at least there was when I... more

We stayed four nights, in a mixed dorm. The hostel is well run and clean. The staff friendly and helpful. The doors to the dorm don't lock, but there are lockers for each bed. The location is great -right down the street from the Piazza des spiritu sanctu where we found great restaurants every night. The piazza also featured a... more

worst experience i've ever had at a hostel backpacking europe for 3 months!! if you like book camps w/ yelling nazis this is the place for you. they wake you up at 9:30AM, lock you out at 10:00AM and if you're still in bed they'll literally pull/throw you out (i made it 1/2 way across the room) and then kick... more

I stayed here for 3 nights as a base for my visit to Florence. The location is central, close to the Arno in Oltrarno, so saved on transport. The good points are the hostel is very clean, with excellent showers, (for a hostel). There is a kitchen and equipment can be hired for free which keeps the budget down and... more

I have just return from a short trip to Florence, Italy. Ostello Santa Monaca was the possible solution for me, as I booked my accomodation on the very last minute over their internet portal. With a good city map, the place is quite easy to find, at Oltrarno, across the river from the city center. Staff is very friendly and... more
